Concur! Particularly with your 'Where are they going to go now?" question. I've been a few episodes ahead of my husband due to his work schedule, and while I keep teasing him with how fun the upcoming episodes are, I've also cautioned him that it seems like a series-ending arc to me, and I don't know how they can

I liked it. Some kind of twisting shocker or super dramatic ending may have been more exciting, but such a low-key resolution was a bit refreshing. And I do think they hit most of the needed character and thematic beats. I would have liked more development, however, of Amara's change-of-heart.

Whaaaat???!!! No way.

Agree completely! My general thinking was that if shows that we know at least have potential to be great still can sink in quality (Flash, Arrow), I don't see how LOT can ever rise.

I didn't know those stats, and now I'm depressed. Thanks a lot!

No ill will at all, Mr. Ateven's a true loyal fan!

Pregnancy watching? The only thing that's kept me around for LOT is that the nausea and exhaustion have made me one with my couch.

Yep, exactly what I've been reading and my husband (a longtime fan) says. I feel privileged to just start watching it now, without having to be burdened by the memory of previous mediocre seasons. : )

See, and I think CXG could grow viewership as good worth of mouth continues to spread to people who otherwise might never consider watching a CW show. There's potential there.

On a somewhat unrelated note, I'd love to see more AVClub coverage of Supernatural. I never watched until this season, but it's been good enough to hook a newbie like myself. That, and the general internet consensus seems to be that it's experiencing a resurgence in quality this season.

I was going to respond by sharing my desire to see more of Hawkgirl's romantic life, and then realized that I can't even remember her character's name, despite having seen about half the episodes (including the premier and the last 4-5). And that's just too sad to be funny about.

We're the silent majority, I swear!

After seeing the writing quality for Arrow and Flash mostly decline (although Arrow continues to have a few shining moments), I'm skeptical.

Bad move. CW should keep "CXG" on Mondays and move "Legends of Tomorrow" to Fridays. LOT just isn't that good, and I only see it continuing to lose viewers as its novelty wears off. But it's perfect Friday fare*** for the few hardcore fans.

Plus lurkers like myself! Who only show-up after other commenters have already covered all the easy snark and who are too lazy to sign in just to up-vote stuff.

More readers might if they knew it had a Jeopardy! recap. I found it by chance, but have loyally returned to enjoy the commentary on particularly note-worthy episodes. Or sometimes just to see if other people found a contestant (or Trebek, on numerous occasions) as annoying as I did.

My husband and I were begging for at least one Final Jeopardy answer that epitomized how horrible the contestants were. Michael Steele did not disappoint.

Cool news!

Good comparison! Funny how less romantic "My Fair Lady" came to seem as I grew older. Shaw was right that Higgins/Eliza should never be a happy ending.
