At some point you need to recognize White privilege and the fact minorities have a right to ask for symbolic representation. It is obvious you just don't get it. So I'm guess you expect minorities to accept not being represented ever? We should just accept that we aren't worth representing? Jesus Christ get over

One has to be an activist to put diversity have Black women in their work? I do not care that he is not an activist but his words and rambling is odd and inappropriate (seriously annoying him complaining about "angry Black woman".) I honestly feel like being a Black in America makes me want to help other Black people,

I will say I do not pay much attention to him. I think you missed my points. Part of the problem is that when someone uses ONLY mixed Black women, and/or Black women who have eurocentric features that is problematic.

At some point you need about learn history, intersectionility, and the impact of beauty standards on women. You going to have start doing some research and stop sounding so ignorant.

He is just way off. I don't get why famous Black men thinking that them representing Black women is such a chore. Society constantly tell Black women that our features are ugly. When Black are recognized as beautiful they tend to be light, more eurocentric looking. They also tend to be mixed. It not like other men are

You aren't talking about those who prefer/only date their own race but rather people who are focused on one particular race that is not their own, right? Just curious.

Love her wearing her nature hairstyles. She seems like a cool person, laid back and genuine.

Interesting study to read that European men have more prominent noses than European women. European standards of beauty tend to view women with slimmer nose more attractive. The person who did the artwork was probably working within a European standard of beauty.

I don't get the obession with thigh gaps, I always tried hiding mine when I was young because I am bow-legged. With me being bow-legged I had a thigh gap at a size 7-9 jeans. When I was young my peers thought it was weird I had a thigh gap, now that a certain standard of beauty deemed it attractive it has become

I agree. IMHO "Thin privilege" only benefits white women. I know plenty Black women that wish they were not skinny and are willing to take drastic measures to change that. I know Black women who feel the pressure to have big butts because that is expected of them.

This is sad, I read other stories where other women have died, come close to death with permanent repercussions (getting limbs removed). I always felt bad for Black women who were skinny/slim who told me people would make fun of their weight. They felt such strong needs to gain weight (some means that were life

Thank you, I thought feminisms was about sexual freedom for women....maybe it only applies to white women?

If one does not believe one is superior to another, than is it racism, or cultural ignorance?

I think you completely missed the point your post also does not seem to make sense and lacks any awareness or consciousness of the issues.

I honestly expected more from Mindy, the black nurse is such a stereotype.

I like the Mindy project, not perfect but I like the diversity and I do think Mindy is funny. I don't care for the Black nurse. I think the show has gotten progressively better. I glad that their is a WOC comedian tv show.

Because the person doing the mirco-aggression tends not to be aware and is usually unintentional and the person receiving knows what is happening and receives psychological distress but since micro-aggression are subtle it is hard to prove. In addition you have to be more cautious when reacting to micro-aggressions

I am doing research on this!!! Some researchers say that mirco-aggressions are more hazardous than overt racism. In addition certain racial attitudes can buffer the psychology distress of racial discrimination. In regard to psychology distress one may experience: depression, anxiety, and negative impact well-being and

Bwahahaha I love this. Good work!!!!

Lily Allen must not realize that everyone is not treated/viewed equally. She lives is her privileged bubble yet thinks she "knows" people are equal. Not surprised coming from a woman who objectified Black women and had people defend her.
