if you’re into audio books, Wisconsin Public Radio does a show literally called “Chapter A Day” where they have one of the announcers read a book in roughly half-hour chunks (aired during the second half of the lunch hour.)

Same location, but I am a late lunch eater. My friends would always grumble about eating later, but you don’t have to wait in line and you can sit wherever you want. People who go “on time” have never persuaded me. Same as Friday/Saturday night dinner. Why not go later when you don’t have to wait for a table? Or go

I don’t think it’s about applying for jobs that you have no shot at, it’s more about recognizing that most jobs won’t have a perfect candidate who fills all of the qualifications, but you might be able to fit a particular niche that they need.

Totally agreed on all of the good advice above, but strenuously object to the following:

Keeping track of books is great. I use Goodreads.com for mine. You can see what your friends are reading, keep track of some authors (sadly not every author sets up proper Goodreads pages and integrates their blogs), and keep track of when you finished a book.

The Knicks’ and Lakers’ loud, flamboyant incompetence almost makes me appreciate the Bulls’ quiet, meatheaded-yet-understated incompetence.

It feels like Magic is not wrong about Pelinka and Jeannie. Pelinka was not wrong about Magic. Jeannie was wrong to ever hire either of those two in the positions they are/were in. Now what?

- Hi, I’m Rob Lowe, and I have DirectTV.

But if ya live in a neighborhood with a Home Owner’s Association - beware!

Noooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pelinka looks like the mean character Rob Lowe was supposed to be in Wayne’s World.

First off, Magic had no business being put in charge of basketball operations to begin with. And the Lakers vision the past few years seems to be the same as the Knicks, forget about how poorly we’ve been run and come here because we play in a great market with crazed(demented) fans. What has kind of surprised me in

Please make Lavar Ball President of Operations . . . please make Lavar Ball President of Operations . . . please make Lavar Ball President of Operations.

My coworker moved to a new house in an exurb 60 miles from the office and bragged how she now saves $1,200/year in property taxes. However, she drops her kids off at day care at 6 a.m. and has an almost 2 hour commute by car.

“But, but...the Triangle...lol”

You can claim that Gase is looking at Manning for this position, but I’ve seen pictures - Gase has got his eye on everyone right now.

Knicks ruined Phil Jackson ruined Phil Jackson’s legacy in just 3 short years

I mean why not. It’s not like the NFL is hiring qualified candidates anymore. I mean John Lynch and Mike Mayock had zero front-office experience. Zac Taylor didn’t call plays in LA. Kliff Klingsbury had a losing record in college. Green Bay’s new head coach presided over an anemic offense. Adam Gase barely had a

“The only thing that can stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun solid tackling fundamentals.”

I hope he said something cool as he took the gunman down, like “sorry, son. You just entered a Lowe security area.”
