Oh god, one of my cats does this too. WHY.

Congratulations! It's such a scary and thrilling time. I hope packing/moving and all of the paperwork goes really well and that you get to move into your new digs painlessly as possible.

I always get lots of weird discharge during pregnancy. If there's no smell or itch, you're probably good.

You know what? Sometimes when it's right, it's right. My honey and I got serious right off the bat and we were engaged about six months after getting together. He was the nerd for me. :)

I really adore Charles de Lint in the fantasy category. He does urban fantasy, which is basically about magical/supernatural things within the context of a modern day city. He writes awesome female characters. Neal Stephenson is a great sci-fi author - I'm especially fond of his book Diamond Age , about a little girl

Haha, hearted! Nicely done.

Yeah, I wasn't even going to touch that little "fact", but you're absolutely right.

Yeah, I'm being verrrrry generous at 40 days. Usually it's 6 weeks (42 days) at the minimum, and usually more like 7 weeks (49 days), so.

Thanks for the tip! Will do.

I just remembered it existed a few weeks ago and spent HOURS catching up on all the little kitten families.

Heartbeat at 23 days my ass. I challenge her to find a fetal heartbeat before day 40 of pregnancy or so - at the very EARLIEST.

The screening process for donor breastmilk is more stringent than the screening process for donated blood.

Giving birth is basically the biggest period of your life.

What the HELL? LLL is insane from every single story I've heard about them.

Oh, but didn't you know that only .00000001% of women don't make enough milk? The rest are just slackers!

Some of these people think that even if you adopt a baby, you should stimulate milk production with herbs/pumping/those little formula tube/boob systems. It's never enough. I think it's great if people want to try and breastfeed adopted infants, but jeez.

When I had my baby, this is how my hospital did things. Since my milk wasn't coming in, they gave me donor milk to use every day, and then on the last day they told me that my baby was having some issues dropping a lot of weight (not surprising considering he was not eating a whole lot) and asked me what I wanted to
