Preach. Me too. Mr. Water doesn't drink...but he certainly LOVES when I have a cocktail with dinner.

Being horny must be REALLY important to me when I'm drunk, then.

That's awesome. I'm so glad you have the same options. I guess it really depends on where you live. Some areas seem way more ahead than others with this stuff.

But any hospital is still going to be better equipped for emergency care to stabilize a baby for transport than anything you can do at home.

It's probably because with the first birth you have no idea what to expect and what kind of complications could arise. Obviously that's true of all births, but I imagine you find out in your first birth what kind of problems your body might run into, and second babies tend to come out more quickly than the first.

It'd be really nice if we could get a compromise here. I think fewer people would choose homebirths if they felt like they would be respected in a hospital environment. I'm lucky in that I live in the PNW, where midwives are more mainstream, and thus I can have a hospital birth in a nice, big, pretty room with a

Is it just me, or is that the typical 'Murrikan Fundie Christian attitude, too? Everything is about THEM.

I'm so glad people keep sharing this clip. I've watched it like half a dozen times now and it is still amazing.

I do those two things with a little olive oil. My face always feels so nice after that.

It's absolutely devastating on one's voice too. :( All the singers I knew/know would avoid cigarette smoke on the street, even.

I love that this picture reminded me that the chubby, nerdy-looking kid who played Neville Longbottom basically morphed into Clive Owen.

They taste about a billion times more delicious, too. I've actually considered getting some chickens for the backyard since I eat a lot of eggs to begin with.

This is now burned into my subconscious.

I've heard tales, though I've never seen one in the flesh.

I think repeated listenings of this particular song WOULD drive one to homicidal mania, it's true.

Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer is probably amusing to the same people who wear fanny packs unironically. Seems like there would be a lot of overlap between those two groups.

Look who's coming 'round the bend, it's Santa and his reindeer friends...

Yeah, I understand where you're coming from as well. My parents told me the same things, so I get it. Gingrich is a real piece of work no matter how you slice it.

On one hand, I see your point. On the other hand, someone is going to have to work as a janitor for a school, and they will most likely be from a low income background. I'd really like it if we could agree to pay janitors a decent living wage as well. The problem is that everyone is trying to attend college now which,

This is me. My husband makes decent money, and I just finished my BA in History. There's absolutely no point in me working after the baby comes in January or February until he starts going to school full time, because even if I could get a job, I sincerely doubt it would be enough to pay for childcare and commuting
