Are you still drunk from yesterday’s afternoon bender?

My cousin and her daughters attended her concert in Philly last month, and loved it. I liked seeing the selfies of them at the show, looking all psyched to be there. I am happy you had a great time at the concert.

I don’t like it. Her voice doesn’t really fit the song, it sounds jarring over the Timbaland/Missy beats, and doesn’t flow together well. She has a nice voice, I just don’t think the beats were mixed together well.

The title leads to an anticlimatic ending, where you feel brave enough to get out of your car for a few moments, only to get scared by a strange-looking man and run back into your car. The piece was well-written, but it didn’t feel like much of a story about independence, as if the men had proven you right. Just a

He played a Nigerian doctor who worked as a cab driver and night shift hotel employee in Dirty Pretty Things, he could do a working-class character.

It was amazing. The whole sequence at the soccer game was incredible, and the film had a lot of suspense and terror in it that left me shaken up afterwards.

I do think Seth McFarlane is talented, even if I’ve stopped watching Family Guy years ago. He is a very talented singer and voice actor, and is very charismatic, and he produced the reboot of Cosmos. He is talented, I just don’t like what he often uses his talent for writing-wise.

This was fun to read. Thank you for sharing your pictures and describing your experiences. I hope you had a wonderful time in Iceland!

Thank you!!! Great post.

My sister really enjoyed India, but also had that attitude of “enlightenment” that seemed patronizing when she described people she met. I understand what you mean.

Fine, then she was a dippy young woman who romanticized a foreign man due to ethnic stereotypes. She doesn’t get off the hook because she’s not white.

Same here. I am 31 and was a big fan of Paula Abdul, Mariah Carey, and Janet Jackson in the early 90’s.

I agree. I was a big fan of her when I was 10, and while she never had a big voice, it always sounded very sweet, and she found the right people to collaborate with to make her songs work well. I loved her Jimmy Jam/Terry Lewis songs, they were boss.

Thank you for pointing this out. I thought it was funny, but didn’t think about how stereotypical this is that she wrote, as if all of Australia is the bush full of wild animals snapping at people at random.

Me too. I was fascinated by Australian animals because they seemed so weird-looking and unique. I also thought koalas, wallabies, and kangaroos were cute. I now know how dangerous they can be, though they still look cute.

I also liked him in a short-lived sitcom he did with Kevin Pollak, it was fun to watch in passing.

That was beautifully written.

And she apparently made it to being nearly 40 and still incredibly self-absorbed and immature and childish, having this sense of upper-class white woman entitlement that is disgusting. She should’ve done her research, and having some tiny tattoos that she got many years apart doesn’t make her knowledgeable on getting

Yeah, that isn’t too far off in terms of how the “anonymous woman” would act when smuggling her drugs through security.

This was well-written. I am sorry that you felt so sick on your trip, it was bad timing. I am happy that you got to see such a beautiful country. One of my friends on Facebook is traveling for a year, and her first stop was in Iceland, and she loved it there.
