This is a good point. It's like they just decide to ride a horse until it dies. Except the problem now is that no skater is able to stick around for long enough - most get injured so quickly trying to do more difficult elements due to the new judging system that they can barely stick around for a full 4-year cycle.

Same here! There was always at least one FS competition on TV to watch every month, something I could put on in the background and just mindlessly absorb while I finished homework for Monday. Those were the days when skaters could skate competitively for years, which meant we could really follow their careers and sort

I'm looking forward to the day when tattoos become so mainstream that I can walk into a business meeting without having to cover mine up, and no one will blink an eye. Because I love my tattoos a lot, and I don't regret where I got them, but it's still really annoying to have to cover up with a shawl or jacket at work

Weirdly enough I'm one of those who likes the movie, but can't stand Idina Menzel. I'm really not a fan of her voice. But it was pretty, it had some nice songs, and for once it's a story about sisters saving each other. So that's something.

I pretty much saw this coming when the Russian men's hockey team got eliminated. You can't contest that - a goal is a goal, it's not subjective - so with them out of the picture, Russia turned to the next biggest thing for them: ladies' figure skating.

I'd shop at American Apparel if they made clothing I could actually wear. I'm not really a fan of high-waisted, see-through everything.

This is great news because a tenet of my religion is that I get to be an asshole to douchebags. So I guess if I were to move to Arizona and set up shop, then discriminate to people I judge to be assholes, people can't sue me because my God says I can say no to douchebags!

Sotnikova was good, but I just didn't think it was good enough for her to beat her own former personal best by 20+ points. I mean, that's a really high jump.

I'm actually okay with the quiet. I prefer to just absorb a skater's program the first go around, just taking in the performance and music...and then I want them to analyze the shit out of it during the instant replays. Because isn't that what the replays are for?

I'm never going to leave Team Tarasova. Oh well.

I'm an introvert who hates being social but isn't shy...and what's weirder is that I work in public relations, where I have to have meetings, talk to people, do social media and network. All things I'll smile and graciously do in the name of having a job and making good money, but once I'm home I lock the door and

Curling is one of those things I'd love to try. And like I've told my friends, I enjoy it because unlike the other winter Olympic sports, I'm yelling at the rock, not the athlete. :)

LOL that gleeful smile on Li's face though as she zooms past.

They aren't. Not sure if Meryl is dating anyone, but Charlie has been with Tanith Belbin (another former ice dancer) for quite a few years now.

What might be interesting would be if one of the ladies posed as the bad guy's nanny and it started going in that "oh, the bad guy is really a softie at heart and loves his kid, I think I'm falling in love with him" trope, but then she logically thinks about it and knows that even though the bad guy is a good dad,

I think this is why I loved The Heat so much. There was that one scene with Sandra Bullock trying to get sexy so she could infiltrate the bad guy's inner circle while he partied at the club and tap his phone, but it was done in such a way that I never felt like it was pandering for sex appeal, just telling the

Why do the women have to pose as call girls to run this operation when the guys can just bust in guns blazing? I just want to see some ladies break shit and blow people up without having to dress up sexy first!

I wasn't really into his looks when he had that mess of hair, but he looks so distinguished and fine with his short hair!

Sorry if we're discussing snowboarders I'ma have to go with Iouri Podlatchikov.

My friend had a Monster High themed tea party birthday party...for her 29th birthday. So we had Monster High place settings, silver ware, decorations, Monster High themed food, and we all dressed up and spent the afternoon building our own Monster High dolls and had tons of fun. This ain't just for kids!
