Yes, the Japanese obsession with KFC! I know that in Japan Christmas is treated more as a romantic holiday for couples (cause of the snow, pretty lights, gifting)...but I had no idea that apparently it's a thing for singles to chow down on KFC, or for families to pick up buckets for their Christmas dinner.

Christmas is so commercial that you get Christmas sales in other countries that have nothing to do with religion. When I lived in Taiwan, I'd hear Christmas Carols (in English) in stores everywhere during December, and there would be sales. But ask anyone what Christmas is about, and you'll just get some stuff about

Freedom of religion doesn’t mean freedom from religion.

Well they did say there were a lot of really gorgeous places, and the photos were lovely. But yes, I was kind of sad that the stories they told the most were of disgusting street toilets.

Tom Felton is indeed growing up fine.

I am asexual and I would take a Skarsgaard snuggle in a heart beat.

Same here. I tried OB and it just wasn't great and actually ended up slipping out at one point (thank goodness I was at home). The applicator just made everything easier to put in.

Diva Cup convert here! I love it, although it definitely takes a little bit of practice to get used to. I wouldn't recommend trying to empty in a public washroom (unless maybe it's a single bathroom) until you've used it for awhile. Luckily because you don't usually have to empty it very often, it's not usually an

The tendon shortening thing is true. This hasn't happened to anyone I know personally, but stories have circulated on how tendons have snapped when a chronic stiletto wearer tried to wear flats for a day.

Include my mom in the list of India nay-sayers. I've never really expressed much interest in going there anyway (I have heard horror stories from friends who have seen way too much bathroom action in the streets), but now I kind of want to just because my mom's all 'no, all those rapists!' I'm a terribly contrary

Yessssss so many POC in this movie. I hate movies that are all 'save the world' but only have white people doing it, international effort for the win!

Pacific Rim may be touted as a dude movie, but this gal is totally excited to see it. It's as close to a live action Gundam/Evangelion movie as I'll get!

I know nothing about Kinky Boots except that Stark Sands wears amazing boots and underwear and dances and sings. But that's all I really needed to know. XD

Same here. I backpacked through Europe and looked fabulous, and I also did it on a budget. So it can be done!

Whether the school dress code is over the top is one matter, but she should have just picked a different dress. A straight neckline would have made all the difference. It's not like she didn't know ahead of time cleavage wasn't allowed, but she still picked a dress that was meant to put the ladies on display.

This is what I was thinking. Strapless was okay as long as no cleavage was showing, and I'm betting the girls with smaller boobs who wore strapless dresses weren't wearing ones with sweetheart necklines. I was recently in a wedding and all the bridesmaids wore strapless, and even though we were all different sizes

I think the rule would go something more like 'skirts/shorts must end 6 inches below the crotch" or something, which would hardly reach the floor. School dress codes shouldn't be ridiculous, but some standards are still a good idea.

is it just me, or does the dress look like a censor bar across Jessica Chastain's chest in that third picture? The edge is just so straight.

She's also holding a pen in her right hand, which sort of blends in with her shirt and frames that hand to look smaller than it is...

I haven't encountered people thinking I want to lose weight when I refuse soda, but I have encountered people thinking I was cheap for refusing soda (at least in a restaurant). Sorry, but I'm not going to pay $2 for a cup of soda when water is free. Besides, I dislike drinking soda with food, I feel like it ruins the
