Ahh, I shall have to look into those then. Thanks!

I remember in Europe you also only get one packet per order. If you wanted more ketchup you had to pay 10 Euro cents for each one while the cashier looks at you with judgment in their eyes.

But are they comfy to wear? The whole idea of a hidden wedge is weird to me. I'm not ashamed of wearing wedges. I don't care who sees me. I know some people prefer wedges to stiletto heels because they offer more balance and support. But my feet start feeling pain once the incline of the shoe passes 1.5 inches. I have

Well if you think about it, ties are rather phallic in nature!

Since we're talking about shoes I must air my grievance at the utter lack of mid-range heels these days. Everything is either sky high or completely flat, neither of which I enjoy wearing. Heels squish my toes and make me feel like I've put a lego in my shoe, but I need a bit more arch support and cushioning than

Thiiiiiiis. I keep a nice pair of heels at work for when I have to go to an important meeting, but during my walk to the train station to get to work, I'd like to wear comfy yet business appropriate flats. SO HARD TO FIND. Although I do rather enjoy Payless Shoestores Predictions $14 black flats. They're nice enough

I like wedges a lot, but for me a high heel is still a high heel. Once it's above an inch and a half (yeah I'm a weenie) I don't care if it's a stiletto, pump or wedge, I'm gonna feel pain.

Makes sense to me. I don't feel like it's a purposefully engaged defense mechanism. If it's casual, he gets a casual nickname. If it turns serious, I'll introduce him First Middle and Last name to my friends/family.

Friend Zone: the space in which people are friends. Friendships can be hard and need work too.

For the first one: am I the only one who would ask the best friend to stop bringing her boyfriend along all the time? Just say "hey, we haven't really had any US time, maybe leave the boyfriend at home and we'll have a girls weekend out?"

That's easy, just place the urinals at the back, behind the stalls. Men can walk past the stalls without seeing anything, and then women don't have to venture back around the urinal area if they don't want to see penis hanging out.

I do think it's a bit different for adults than for kids. I'm not trying to teach an adult how to dress appropriately for certain situations. If that woman doesn't get it by now, she's not going to and it's not my business. Maybe she won't get promoted or a raise because of how she dresses at work. That's her choice.

I'm all for robes! Although my productivity would probably drop as I'd be flapping my arms all the time. :D

LOL yep I come home and put on my PJs! I have my closet divided into work clothes and fun weekend clothes, my work clothes section is far larger.

I think girls should be able to wear pants, just as boys should be able to wear skirts if they want. So many guys used to complain about how hot it got in the summer, when girls got to wear breezy skirts and the most they got was calf length cutoffs.

Well, not sure what job you worked at that allowed you to wear your uniform in a non standard way. In my experience a profession that requires you to wear an actual uniform (and not just the company polo shirt and slacks) tends to enforce their grooming standards pretty tightly.

Maybe they have to be kept nice for private schools? My cheap standard issue unis were pretty tough and my mom would just wash them on super cycle once a week. They were clean and lasted an entire school year, sometimes longer if I didn't grow too much.

My uniforms were always super cheap from JC Pennys. My mom would always take me to buy a year's set every September and it really didn't cost that much. Most public schools that require uniforms also provide vouchers for lower income families. The rest of the year I was free to buy whatever I wanted.

I think that's fair.

Yeah, there will always be ways for students to make themselves look special. Jewelry, hair cuts, what they bring for lunch. But a uniform would just be a baseline to build on.
