You just *know* that the studio really wants a white guy. And that all this “we can’t find a guy after 2000 auditions” is just cover for when they announce that Aladdin will be played by Hugh Jackman.

I assume Jake Gyllenhaal is busy?

Elaine Welteroth has been killing it as EIC

Please do so immediately and mail me the result.

I wonder if I could make the dip coffee flavoured, with Bailey’s cookies. I may have to look into this.

This discussion always confuses me. The FBI crime stats show that in about 92% of cases in which the victim is black, the perpetrator’s race — if known — is black. So in your mind, if this is wrong, what would the ideal percentage be?

Black people talk about crime within their own communities constantly. You don’t hear about it because it’s a problem that doesn’t effect or involve you, and that you only care about when you need a false equivalency to shutdown discussions about police brutality and racism.

So, anecdotal evidence here: My wife when she moved in was used to CRT SD tvs. For years she said she never saw the difference between what she used to have and my 1080P TV set. Always went on about how, except for size, it was no different.

Then I got my LG OLED (which has AMAZING upscaling to 4k, BTW) and she was

Soda ash is frequently used as laundry detergent. It’s commonly called “washing soda.” Some use it by itself or as a detergent booster. It doesn’t foam like regular detergent because no surfactants, and it doesn’t take much.

I still use my DVR. My husband and I work different schedules and there are shows we like to watch together. It’s easier to keep track of them and which episode we are on with a DVR. The added bonus is skipping commercials.

I can easily skip ads with my DVR. I can’t do the same going to the network website, and while AdBlock+ works for some, it doesn’t for others. I also can save up a whole season of shows if I want to binge watch, which I can’t do as you point out. Also, some networks like CBS are obnoxious and want you to pay to access

FWIW I didn’t write this headline and I think it’s worth mentioning that the Rebel is definitely more than just a beginner bike. It WOULD be a good beginner bike, but it’s also enjoyable for somebody who just wants low-key short-range riding.

For a first bike, buy used. You are going to drop it in the driveway, probably more than once. Get those out of the way, get some miles in, and then buy new. You’re going to hate the cost of replacement parts on a new bike. Scratches on a used bike are just character.

“And that’s what I kept on thinking as I walked straight into a concrete pillar and browned out for the rest of the day. But up until then, I was really appreciating the subtle coolness of this bike.”

I was the Project Manager for this event. I worked on it for 6 months and lived in Cleveland for a month preparing for it. We had to design a structure this filled a city square and could stand up to 90 MPH winds, which was building code. The one-piece net was fabricated by the exact company I found in So Cal who
