I’d like to recommend an INCREDIBLY useful site: www.dosdude1.com.

My wife and I both still rock iPad 2's. They are slow, but can play some games we like, carcassonne, ticket to ride, race for the galaxy. We gave our son her iPad Mini, which is the same guts as the iPad 2, it runs all his kid specific learning games. Pretty impressive for 8 year old tech.

Nah, it’s ultimately a single player experience and people enjoy things differently. And even better, none of these experiences invalidate the other. As you are not forced to play with anyone else or engage with groups you don’t want to.

Let people enjoy things, lol.

shrug. it’s your island.

That is assuming you can read your handwriting the next day.

My trick is to go to the Parts Department and ask one of the guys there to direct me to “a good salesperson who isn’t an a$$hole”. I never want to walk in the front door and get whoever’s turn it is next.

First he screws up the MaxCare warranty for the rest of us...and now this! Damn you Doug! :D

BMW did that for me too basically! I had a 2013 BMW S1000rr, it was basically perfect other than missing one muffler bolt.

I blame Doug DeMuro for this one. He rated these both very high and it would be the Kia/Hyundai dealerships that would try and play off it.

Back in March of last year I had a fantastic experience at my parents local Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge dealership. My moms 07 Santa Fe finally kicked the bucket at 265,000ish miles (she bought it brand new in 06). There was knocking coming from the engine and glitter in the oil and filter.

Her requirements were that she

Many years ago I purchased a beetle TDI - the most basic version (cloth seats and power nothing). When I went to change the brakes I noticed I was missing a wheel bolt (VWs use bolts instead of nuts on studs).

The LS engines are the antithesis to DOHC. There is simply no compelling argument in favor of DOHC over an LS engine.

My dad sent me this article the other night and I flipped out - I’m a huge fan of Gawker media and it is so cool that you guys reached out to Uncle James!

I can’t tell you how much it means to me that you enjoyed this. Knowing your uncle now, I know how it would take a very long book to truly tell his story in all the detail it deserves. I did my best with something shorter, and I’m glad you felt it was up to snuff.

Thanks so much for taking the time to get to know my Uncle James! He’s a remarkable man and a hero in our family. My dad and uncles are huge car guys and I think part of this is due to his influence. He’s revered and we all wish he and Pat were able to travel more (and vice versa), but whenever we get to see them it’s

Thank you so much for reading this, and for leaving this comment. I can’t say much more now, but I will say this: Jim’s story is not over yet, and I’ll be seeing him again soon!

David, thank you for posting this story about my friend and colleague with the Tuskegee Airmen, Inc.; Jim Barbour. We met in Florida in 2005 when our group brought the “Faithful Pursuit” Tuskegee Airmen tribute car to our national convention. I was amazed to learn of his long racing career and relationship as Ferrari’s

Such an excellent story of Heroism, Honor, and eloquent humanity. The whole time I was reading this, I thought of Robin Roberts and how much she would enjoy meeting Jim! Her father too, was a Tuskegee Airman. My father is a car racing enthusiast as well, as well as a retired military man, I forwarded him your story.

Excellent as always, David.  It’s so important to secure stories from guys like Jim.  What a life.
