I too miss her as the host of The News Quiz (I listen to the podcast version of it), but I was very excited to know she's going to be taking over for Stephen Fry as host of QI!

For those who don’t know the woman on the left up there is Sandi Toksvig, national sweetheart and sorely missed long time host of The News Quiz on BBC Radio 4. I’m so pleased. She is so, so brilliant.

I said this on another thread, but some zoos do actually help and protect animals. I’m actually not the biggest zoo fan, but hearing of the work the San Diego Zoo and others have done has changed my mind a bit. These tigers are dying out and a lot of zoos have gone into the “business” of cultivation and sustainability…

I cannot tell you how much I despise the idea that Frank’s family was deliberately killed by his former unit. It takes away the random cruelty of fate aspect which is what makes characters like The Punisher or Batman work. That the deaths of their families was a random occurrence gives them an enemy they can’t fight…
