Ah, I see. I still think the goal was to get him before he had a chance to get an army together, but your point makes sense.

I thought they looked small, too, but the Xs they were on were bigger than the man in the field, so I figured maybe that was why.

It's always bothered me that the show didn't portray Renly as the pretender he clearly was. He had no claim as long as Stannis was alive.

Why a club? Just because he's a giant it has to be a club? Like, he's not smart enough for a pointy weapon? Are giants only allowed to carry clubs?

"Oh, you want a weapon, giant? Go get one your damn self, then, I ain't your servant."

But why wouldn't he go after him? Ramsey's gone to Winterfell; Jon's goal is to take Winterfell. What's he supposed to do, hang around outside and hope Ramsey comes out to check the mail?

I was wondering where Ramsey got the men he flayed and burned upside-down on the battlefield, and then it occurred to me: maybe there were indeed a few men who weren't willing to fight for him after he showed he was unwilling to fight for them? And they were caught and punished?

I often disagree with you, Myles, but I always enjoy reading your take on the show, which at least makes sense to me even if I think it's weird and wrong-headed. :-) Seriously, I'll miss you next week. Bon voyage!

I'm not surprised the other soldiers were there—their Houses joined up, and at the time they likely felt they didn't have a choice—but I was very surprised that not one of them walked away in disgust at some point. I really thought we'd see at least one of them see Rickon die, or an arrow hitting their brother or

Except the Bee Gees actually had talent, and wrote their own songs along with an amazing number of hit songs for other people. Vanilla Ice (and your DJ friend) couldn't come close.

I am convinced that Staying Alive is one of the greatest rock songs ever written. Those lyrics, that riff…c'mon, it is fucking amazing.

Justifiably nervous, IMO.

Ha! I always figured they just didn't notice because they were so used to it.

Hey now, don't you insult my Eleanor!

Oh, yeah, I'd actually forgotten about Blackwater (she says shamefacedly). Hmm. That's a tough one… I'll have to think about that.

Well, no, but we can pretend!

I believe his father was a Geoffrey as well, and Count of Anjou—making Henry the first Plantagenet king!

Aw, I knew an awesome Geoffrey.

God, that's a beautiful animal.

They don't show them here in the UK. We have to watch Sky's "Thronecast" aftershow to see them (or, yes, go to YouTube).
