Yes, I was extremely disappointed in their fighting ability (or lack thereof). It wouldn't have been hard to bring in a lot more Harpies, so they would have been very outnumbered and the fight wouldn't seem so Good Fighters vs. Keystone Kops.

I was shocked that it took so long for him—or anyone else—to realize the advantage an unwoundable metal hand can be in swordfights. The ability to knock a blade away with one's hand or grab it (after a fashion) and hold it in place seems like something worth exploiting as much as possible.
The entire scene at the preschool had me giggling with delight. First we have William R. Moses, one of the kings of Lifetime movies (and an early-seasons Melrose Place alum) show up, and then he mentions being a MacDonald, and he's using the Glencoe massacre as an excuse not to let a four-year-old girl into preschool.…
I don't think she seemed not to give a fuck at all. She seemed very overwhelmed to me; we saw several long moments of her looking around the place while emotions played just below the surface. I thought she was trying very hard not to show that she felt anything, not that she genuinely didn't feel anything.
Yes, I assumed the Many-Faced God was Death, as well, and not some other god.
Agreed. This was the big question in our house. First I didn't understand why Ollie wouldn't just take the job and disband the League or, better, put five of them in every city and tell them to fight crime without killing, Arrow-style, since it was strongly implied that such a thing was possible—Ra's himself told…
Yep. I thought he'd grown into quite a hottie myself. He was rocking those sideburns.
Agreed re confusion over Megan's anger. I spent most of the episode wondering WTF her problem was.
Yeah, Bobby was going to watch The Brady Bunch, a show in which making milkshakes would be the height of cool. There's nothing out-of-period or inaccurate about having Bobby excited about wholesome activities.
A TV show. It's pretty good. Well, before the final episode of this first season I would have said it was amazing, but I found the finale a tad underwhelming. They do recaps/reviews right here on AV Club.
Thank you!
Me, too! I thought it would probably be Bronn, but I was really hoping he'd go looking for Brienne. They have such amazing chemistry.
Hmm. The question of why/how she survives (so far; I don't know any spoilers or anything and haven't read the books) is interesting, now that I actually sit and think about it. I used to assume, I guess, that it's due to a combination of things, like her position as Dowager Queen/"Queen Mother," means she's too highly…
Huh. I did not think of that. Interesting.
That's what I thought, too, since she called Tywin "my lion." (Or rather, she called Tyrion that when she thought he was Tywin coming back to his room.) It seemed awfully fast for her to be giving him terms of endearment, as well as being awfully familiar/fond. I assumed that meant it was a set-up right from the…
Don't forget his viral "What What" video.
He's a total sweetheart, actually. :-)
I had the same impression! And again when, just before giving Daario the nod, she glanced to her left. It seemed to me that she was unconsciously looking for Jorah.
Refusing to do nude scenes anymore won't make the ones she's done before disappear, no, but it will mean she no longer has to do something she finds uncomfortable (or demeaning, or unpleasant, or whatever else she may dislike about being filmed naked in front of a gang of people for the viewing of millions of…
I didn't see that, either. He seemed rather fond of her, I thought; his expression when Jamie told him the wedding was off looked genuinely sad, like he was really feeling the loss.
