I’m looking forward to letting my (hilariously racist) Indian parents know that we are now the same as Chinese people, TBH.

Mindy Kaling’s parents are from India, wouldn’t that be South Asia?
Do a commentary track for the Suspiria remake, you coward!
I’m too lazy to check, but is Matt Schimkowitz the same person who made a remarkably similar (considering how different the shows are) think piece on here a week or two before Wandavision wrapped up?
I feel awfully naive as, I haven’t even thought about them deciding to have a second season (even if it has happened…
Just reading through all of these comments now, what makes the most sense in my head is that 1) John is actually the father of Erin’s baby, 2) Ryan killed Erin, probably because he found out John was the father and he blamed Erin for his parents’ marital strife, 3) to protect his nephew, Billy helped move the body to…
Still faster than George R.R. Martin.
Only on episode 2 at the moment (half way through and paused on the other screen), saw this article’s headline, skipped most of its subject matter incase of spoilers and felt the need to write:
I’VE SEEN IT!!! I even saw it in Oakland! I loved that movie!
Thanks for the compliment, I appreciate you reading. Second, I agree on your points, especially about Karli. I really like seeing your viewpoint, and that’s part of the reason why I love writing for AV Club — so many smart people! — but I’m also somewhat surprised in terms of what people expected from this show. Or…
I, too, was mostly satisfied with Centrist & The Disaster Bi. But hoo-boy is the apparent half-rehabilitation of Walker into Sam The Slightly Homicidal Eagle not going to play well.
Oh man, I was definitely not implying that he was stupid! It’s more that “scoring high in intelligence” is a strangely ephemeral remark. Like, is it just that he had a high IQ (which has some icky racist implications)? Or maybe he studied political science? Or something related to medicine? Of all the things I implied…
So it drew a dick, then got stuck in the mouth of the Suez and there aren’t enough seamen with enough thrust to push it out. And the longer it’s in there, the more screwed we are...
OMG no and no to the people starring this. She didn’t get kicked out for being black - it was because she had a mile long trail of racists tweets from her young adulthood (at 17-18 most people are leaving HS or are in college taking care of themselves).
She was cancelled for her bigotry. Being black is irrelevant being a bigot is. This is 2021, you cant hide behind “teenage” misadventures as an excuse and only apologize when you get caught. She though her skin color and gender was a shield to woke inquisitions she was wrong.
He begs Vision to stop Wanda: “She’s in my head. None of it is my own. It hurts. It hurts so much. Just make her stop.”
Maybe I’m a bit slow on the uptake, but I just realized that the in-universe commercials are referencing major events in Wanda’s life.
There are some clues that suggest that Hayward is one of the bad guys, if not THE bad guy. The diplomas in his office are arranged in a hexagonal shape and the carpet has a hexagonal pattern. There were some other theories and possible clues, but these are the big ones.
I wish RLM’s “Fuck you it’s january” had been a regular yearly feature.
“They” has never been explicitly plural. It’s always been the properpronoun for a singular person of undetermined gender.
