Sure, modern cars are safer, but many people don’t want motors to adjust seats, integrated GPS and assistant, heaters everywhere, sensors, cameras... but they have no choice in the matter. Honestly, they could make a show where Kirk’s corpse gets stolen by borgs, revived, saved by Picard then following Kirk’s new adventures and it would still be better than Picard.

Gotta be honest, the Way of the samurai games were really janky beyond their combat system. The “open” story was only open in the sense you could break it and turn it into a story-free sandbox.

Early in Dark souls there’s a red ladder and it’s still almost invisible. Yellow might be out of place, but not as annoying as the absence of it.

You don’t know what you’re talking about. Period. Stewart took what was a joke show, brought in an insane cast who all went to have insane legacies, and elevated the show to a culturally relevant and informative one.
