I’m sorry but can you explain why? For starters, I said it like it’s a bad thing for exactly the reason you mentioned: leaving early. You don’t have that option on Verizon like you do with, say, T-Mobile. So yes, the fact that Verizon doesn’t allow this is a bad thing.

Yep. I’m still rocking the 4s, mainly because I’m not a fan of the “bigger is better” mentality of phones these days. Now, I’m at the point where my battery life is suffering, and several apps require the latest OS version. Now, the latest OS has really slowed down the phone in general.

I keep hearing from people who say “we’ve got to get out of the 2 year cycle mentality. People should spend the $600-$800 on a new phone and plan to keep it for four or five years. Phone technology has plateaued sufficiently to make that a good option.”

I agree.

I hate all of these

It’s pronounced “trust fund baby”.

Oh, poor thing. How will she ever live on her trust fund and earnings from being pretty, thin, and from a rich family?

They opened a store in SoHo in the spring (along with another H&M brand COS), as far as I know it’s the only one in the US. They are, IMO, much nicer than H&M. Pricier, but with better quality. COS, in particular, is the stuff of my minimilist, Scandinavian-design loving dreams.

I shaved my legs last week (after about 6 months of growth) and I was so upset by how long it took. Like 10 solid minutes per trunk.

Umm...nothing. I don't even wear a slightly uncomfortable shoe.

Your reading comprehension ain’t so great. I said it’s like saying that. I was making an analogy. EVERYWHERE is a special place for white girls to get awards, they don’t need their own, they have it all. Unless, of course, you are one of those “we are post-racial types”, which is not only offensive but really just

Do White people win Black Entertainment Awards? You mean the Awards show that is meant to for Black Music artist? Yes they do. Like Sam Smith won an award this year and didn’t even bother to show up.

There’s also a historical context to that tweet that people are blithele ignoring too. White girls who do provocative things tend to get recognition for that. This is not specific to Taylor. Miley got it. Britney, once upon a time, got it. Gaga got it. Madonna definitely got it. It’s about privileging whiteness and

Taylor Swift is the convergence of privilege and Millennialist indulgence. She is a spoiled little rich girl who bypassed a development deal and went straight to singer-songwriter when her daddy’s hedge fund bailed out her record label. Plus she has that new fangled notion that anyone who criticizes her is a h8er and

I feel like Taylor Swift is now one of the most defensive people on the planet. she insured her legs, got parody videos taken down from youtube, she bought domain names like taylorswift.porn a, removed all her music from spotify and wrote a open letter to apple and is trying to copyright “this sick beat”

Look at the white woman making it about her.... So adorable.

“[Kylie’s] a 17 year old girl and acted as such - expressing herself and making childish comments.”

Kylie Jenner is a good example of cultural appropriation because has appropriated multiple characteristics. She is wearing cornrows, lip injections, and a painful looking pose to accentuate her backside. This form of cultural appropriation isn’t as blatant as say, wearing a war bonnet or bindi, but is still

Black women straighten their hair is for survival purposes in order to fit into white dominated culture on what beauty standards are for a large part of the population who buys into cultural hegemony. The same can be said of blond hair. What Kylie is doing with her hair on the surface does not seem bad, but she can

Let’s say we’re both walking down the street. I am a haphazard, reckless sort of person so I accidentally stomp on your foot while I’m walking. Maybe I break a toe or two. Does your foot hurt? Does the knowledge that I didn’t intend to step on your foot unbreak your toes? I was being careless, but I sincerely didn’t
