BMW has made straight 6's for decades but have not been known as beacons of reliability. One of the great things about the 2Jz is the block and internals were so strong you could bump it up to 1000+ HP and still have reasonable longevity. I doubt a 1000 hp modified bimmer engine will make it far. 

Anyone else think this looks very similar to a model 3? Cars just keep becoming more and more blobby and homogeneous.
