There was a lengthy interview with Paul Dalio and a review of the movie on NPR yesterday, and I think it sounds much better than this particular review gave it credit for. To be fair, I haven't seen it, but I have been disagreeing with AV club reviews more and more lately.

Yeah, some of those brews are super high in alcohol. I totally had a conversation with him, it was super cool. I ran into Jon Spencer once and bought him a shot. He poured it on the floor and said "I only drink Gin". You can be cool and famous, or a total dick. Jon Spencer albums went in the trash.

Yeah, he just seems like a chill guy. No "Rock Star" vibe even though he's in one of the most famous bands on the planet.

I sat next to Eddie Vedder at a Guided by Voices show in Seattle a few months back. Just a regular mellow guy who likes Miller Light in the city with some of the best microbrews around. Go figure. Still, super nice guy.
