Person of Interest is one of those shows that I think was stellar all the way through its run. I just binged it very recently and it was a hell of a ride. Can’t believe it is not on this list.

I have seen not one minute of original Cowboy Bebop, but I am going to be watching the shit out of this because it looks delightful. I am also so happy to see John Cho get a lead role. He’s one of those actors I always, always want to see more of. And this is an extremely clever trailer.
I watched the first part of this, but it started making me uncomfortable and I turned it off. There is something deeply uncanny valley about this guy. I can’t imagine people thinking this would be appropriate to send to HIS DAUGHTER.
(Glad to see you didn’t hate that last GOT season, I have felt like the lone outlier in the middle of people screaming about how terrible it was. I mostly enjoyed it, didn’t feel like the quality dipped that much, and felt like it mostly suffered from, as you said, trying to wrap up too much plot in too little time. I…
I really hate this whole situation, because I saw this documentary a few months ago (a very small test audience with the filmmakers) and it is so amazing, and I hate that this gorgeous little film, made by some very good people, will now be overshadowed by his stupid ass transphobic comedy.
This show was...fine? I guess? I dunno. I really enjoyed Wandavision, tolerated TFATWS, absolutely loved Loki, and as for this.... The stories skewed a little too dark (except for the Thor one which went wildly in the other direction) and the animation was expressionless and boring, if beautiful. And the final episode…
Did you listen to rule #1? This guy is low key hilarious. And slightly deranged.
Yes? Slide 7. I have had those turned off for a couple years now.
I avoided the first one at the time because of the mixed press, but I watched it recently and it was a lot of fun? I mean, it isn’t great cinema, but Tom Hardy was enjoyable as the bumbling hero, and I laughed a lot. Looking forward to this one.
Hey, so I figure you’ve read all the books? I read the two books of short stories and absolutely loved them (The Last Wish and Sword of Destiny) and then I read Blood of Elves and it was a slog. Should I keep going? Do they pick up after that one?
Yes, this. I mentioned this in an earlier review, but the animation of the characters just does nothing to set off the dialogue at all, unless it’s a “bigger” performance. Quieter characters don’t get any added oomph, leading to weird, plasticky performances that can make it difficult (for me, anyway) to even…
This video unfortunately demonstrates the sad truth about string playing: You can’t hear ‘em at all if they’re outside. A string quartet really needs a hall.
I hear ya. We got rid of our cable, so now its just Netflix, Prime, and Disney. Disney has a lot of stuff from Hulu, now, after acquiring something called “Star”. Lots of good movies and shows that you wouldn’t expect.
I’m in Canada! It’s on Disney +!
Bunny is my favorite.
They even have the same initials. (I have the same damn problem. I think Ansel was Baby Driver and Alden was “would that it twere so simple” guy, right?)
Oh man, I didn’t know we wouldn’t be getting episode reviews from you for this season! That sucks! I have always enjoyed watching the eps and then reading your always insightful thoughts.
Thank you for answering! I might actually give it a shot.
Yep. Do not like zombies. This did not help.
More like endless rewatches of MttM and Memphis Belle.
