Lame. The conversation pit isn’t even shaped like Texas. What the hell kind of person made this, anyway?

I watched a few of those as well, when I remembered! I really loved Twelfth Night.
I think the key point that should be taken away from this piece is that recordings of original Broadway productions should be provided to the rest of us poor souls. I hate how many amaaaaaaazing plays and musicals and oh-my-god-you-should-have-seen-its I have missed because I don’t live in or near New York, and also…
It really astonishes me the number of people who believe in ghosts. And maybe they don’t really believe, but they find it fun to spread the story, but I truly have no patience when someone goes off on a ghost story about something that can very easily be explained by coincidence, nature, or photographic phenomena. Do…
This is my biggest pet peeve about all of these shows. The writing is often so bad. Your explanation sounds annoyingly plausible.
As the mother of a 16 year old, I find the fact that kids that young are legally allowed to marry full grown-ass adults abhorrent. All of this is deeply sad.
I LOVED this book, so I am definitely going to give this a try, although it doesn’t seem like they are using one of the bits of imagery that really stuck with me and made me wary of mirrors in dark rooms for a while (the piebald side...yeesh.) Julianne Moore is perfect for this.
I’m still thinking about it and wish I had more episodes to watch. Truly one of the best.
I do love Bashir and Garak together. I guess I’m just stuck in those season 1 and 2 doldrums, although the doctor has already drastically improved in the last episode we watched.
I’m with you almost all the way. (I can’t stand Kira. If she and Bashir were to fall out an airlock I would not weep.)
Ah, okay, I guess that makes more sense. Thanks!
I don’t get this. If, as the article states, “Spacey and his attorneys are already aware...” of the accuser’s identity, what the hell is this even about? Not being anonymous in the courtroom? I guess I don’t understand the issue. If the accused and his attorneys are aware of who this is, why does anyone else need to…
I love Dhani’s face all through that solo. Just sheer joy.
Yep. I’m 44 and have seen pictures of my first bday where I am covered in icing. I made my kids little individual cakes to smash on their first birthdays, as well. This is not new.
Saw a guy on youtube sneak into this village and go through a couple of these. They are soooo cheaply built, and mostly completely unfinished inside. There is also a strange sort of central mall area. Just the weirdest. edited to add: channel called Fearless and Far. Fun video!
This is one of my favorite movies. I had no idea it was so long because it moves like a shot, and Wilford Brimley is a menacing delight.
Whelp, 5 years after this show ended and this review was posted I just finished a binge watch of this series, and this episode destroyed me. A beautiful review for a beautiful piece of television. That Machine/Shaw conversation at the end was one of the most elegiac pieces of writing ever. Just gorgeous. And despite…
I...guess I’ll have to give this another try. I watched the pilot when it debuted, said, “Wow, that sucked,” and never went back. That’s a lie, I went back once when the AV Club convinced me that the Beebo episode was great, but I only watched like five minutes of that before abandoning it yet again. Maybe it needed…
I kept thinking, there’s no way these guys could be stupider, and then the ending. I laughed harder than I have in a long time. Fantastic.
