I periodically check in on the volcano during the day, and yesterday when I was watching, someone lit off a bottle rocket or something (timestamp of around 20:45 March 25th). It was hilariously outmatched by the MOLTEN LAVA SPEWING OUT OF A CRACK IN THE EARTH. Just shows you that no amount of fire is enough fire for

For Canadian folks, all the Miyazaki movies are on Netflix!

Reminds me of Buffy having to make money since vampire slaying doesn’t actually pay.

Oh that’s good to hear! I won’t cringe quite so much, then.

I, too, loved the Ewok movies when I was a kid, but I have a feeling they are going to be BAD and I am embarrassed to show my kids after telling them all about how obsessed I was with them back then. I will always love the Ewoks themselves, though.

The most rainbow-heavy place I’ve ever been was Iceland. Saw at least one pretty spectacular rainbow every other day.

I never finished watching the 4400, but I still maintain that Life Interrupted was one of the best episodes of television I ever watched, ever. Just incredible.

I had absolutely no idea that the Mandarin reveal in that movie was not well liked! I didn’t see Iron Man 3 until very recently, and thought that part was so funny and perfect. I loved that he was just an actor hired to do a job, made me like that movie way more than I thought I would. (Probably doesn’t need to be

I’m with Alex. I absolutely loved that the Wandavision finale involved resolving the two big fights with a clever callback to a previous episode, and a philosophical discussion. The reveal of the runes was fantastic, and I was so happy that it wasn’t some kind of “bigger fireball wins” copout. Wanda outsmarted Agatha

Yes, there seem to be so many Trading Places fans around here, and I remember seeing it back when it came out and being like, entertained, I guess? Not enough to rewatch it in its entirety, although you couldn’t help but run into it on cable back then. I do love BHC though. Just recently rewatched it, and it is a hell

I cry at so much that the list would be too long, but there are certain movies I have seen countless times, and my reactions are just as strong as the first time, and number one on that list is Sense and Sensibility. When Emma Thompson’s character bursts into hysterical tears of relief at the end I cry right along

YES. Thud. Absolutely in tears through that part.

My husband, who I had never seen cry at anything when we were first together, absolutely lost it when I showed him Field of Dreams. He’s German, and hadn’t seen it, and didn’t really care about baseball, but that moment totally reduced him to a blubbering mess. Now we have three kids and he cries at nearly everything.

When I was a teenager my dad tried to get me to sing this while he played guitar, but I always kind of brushed it off. My dad died when I was 22, so we never got the chance. Once I had my own family, I was feeling nostalgic and decided to play the guitar and sing this song, just because of my dad, and I couldn’t even

It’s like the empathy and remorse that Hofmann lacked, chillingly demonstrated in those interviews, just transferred onto Brent Metcalfe. That poor man

Ha! Now I need a dog named Jack.....

I absolutely love the first three Pirates movies, and have watched them multiple times, especially since my 9 y.o. daughter loves them as well. Our most recent rewatch was just a couple weeks ago, and I’ll tell ya, they are just as fun and clever as they were the first time. Does the third one drag a bit? Yes, but I

I loved The Lost Room. Really thought it was something special, and was sad it didn’t spawn any new seasons, but it also worked as a standalone.

Oh my god, that first video of people playing along with her (linked in “sitting”) had me dying. How did he manage to follow that meandering stream of key changes?? Incredible.

Neat! It’s essentially a Live Fur from the Vorkosigan novels! Just needs to be, like, 10 times bigger.
