I don’t think so! In the book, at least, El-ahrairah has Hazel join his Owsla after death. I think the movie condenses the mythology a bit, so the Black Rabbit takes Hazel. Although, in truth, it has been a long time since I saw the movie or read the book, so I could be wrong!

Well, this is one of my very favorite books, and I watched the movie so much when I was a kid (I never found it as horrifying as it seems everyone else did, I guess?) but the animation stills on that link are really ugly. I mean, I will check it out, because that is a hell of a voice cast, but, yeah, I don’t know. Can

As a tall girl (6 feet) I can tell you that tall boys never want tall girls, but short boys sure do. It is weird.

I watched this every year as a kid, and now watch it every year with my kids, and it remains funny and singable. I definitely need the soundtrack. Maybe even on vinyl! Watching my kids goggle over a turntable is pretty hilarious.

Yes! One of the best parts of watching this movie with my kids every year is watching the outtakes. “Who are we, Ma?” “ I couldn’t care less.”

I always felt like Ledger’s Joker was a brilliant piece of acting because you could see the vulnerability behind the crazy. He always looked like someone desperate to prove himself, and since he couldn’t be the strongest or the fastest, he decided to be the craziest. I know there is no backstory in the movie, but I

Night Watch is incredible, Thud is incredible, Fifth Elephant is fantastic. The Watch is my favorite series of Pratchett by far (hence the username) and these are the cream of the crop. I am a little worried by this news, just because I don’t want them to mess it up, and to be honest, I have never watched any of the

Yes! Probably my most re-read of the Watch books.

My 13 y.o. son wants to put up a sign on our front door saying “No candy for Fortnite costume wearers”. He is a little, shall we say, singular. He want to dress as Despacito Spider. Don’t ask.

Yeah, that’s what I thought. Sounds like a French Canadian accent.

I feel like he’s almost doing a French Canadian thing, so it would make sense if it dropped in and out. Might be wrong though.

As others have said, I don’t think Fisk planned this exact scenario. He just manipulates those that he feels could become useful, in various ways, down the line. His entire existence as Kingpin is because he knows that there is no one direct line to his triumph. He has placed his pieces so that all moves lead to

Amen.

This was freaking hysterical. I laughed so hard, and had to read it to my husband as well. So, hey, even though you didn’t make any edible candy, at least you brought some joy into our humdrum lives?

For any music lovers out there, loved that use of the Courante from Bach’s 1st cello suite during the furnishing of Fisk’s hotel room, with the piece completely devolving at the end in atonal double stops and the final, unsettling, chord. Quite a far cry from the Prelude in the first season!

Thank you. Everybody shits on Matt all the time, but dear god, Karen IS the worst. She has kept secret after secret, especially THAT TIME SHE KILLED A MAN, and never gets called out on it by her friends, since THEY STILL DON’T KNOW. And yet she is constantly complaining when Matt lies to her. She lives up on that high

See, I thought it was so refreshing not to have so much dead space while watching bad movies. I went back and watched some older episodes after watching the new season, and sometimes they were painfully boring because of just how much of a terrible movie you have to sit through to get some jokes.

Yay! Good news! I saw the live show last year, and it was incredible, the most I have ever laughed, ever. Also recently rewatched season 11 on Netflix with my 7 year old, who loves it as much as I do, which is fun and also long overdue. She’s my third kid. I was thinking that a love of MST3K must skip a generation or

Cool! I graduated in 98, though, so we might not have crossed paths.

I went to the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, so I recommend anyone visiting there to check out any student concert. It is a world class music school, so concerts there will always be amazing. Kodak Hall is a can’t miss, it is quite lovely, and freshly renovated, but the smaller halls will also put on great
