I second that! I have really been enjoying it so far. I like a series with a protagonist that doesn't take himself too seriously.

I managed to vote you down when I clicked on the link, sorry! Consider this an extra upvote.
Love that movie!
I am actually preparing my citizenship application for Canada, and one of the first things it talks about in the manual is how the Canadian Charter of Rights starts out with "“Whereas Canada is founded upon principles
that recognize the supremacy of God and the rule
of law.” As a pretty solid atheist, made me sit back…
This movie, one of my favorites, was the beginning of my teenage crush on both Tim Roth and Gary Oldman, but most especially Gary Oldman. I was a strange girl.
I do the same thing! And then every time we played, my husband would wipe the floor with me by his careful placing of farmers. Stupid farmers! We stopped playing so I wouldn't call a divorce attorney.
Yes, I agree on the "I don't see him as charming" thing. I mentioned the same thing in one of the binge reviews, that just because people do what someone says right when they say it doesn't make them charming. He is literally "charming", as in casting a spell on them. The character of Kilgrave is indeed horrible and…
You've hit the nail on the head, here. The scene where Robin is doing her schtick outside Jessica's apartment just after the brother's body was found was so tonally off from everything else in the episode, I actually found it more distasteful than the multiple suicide scene in this one. I was actually repulsed that…
Thank you for saying this. I loved Tennant as the Doctor, but I am just not seeing the connection that so many others are between that character and Kilgrave. Sure, the accent is the same, but not much else is, in my opinion. Kilgrave is incredibly terrifying, and people keep saying he is charming, but I don't see it…
Once when I was a kid, we went to Arby's and they were out of beef. I shit you not.
THank you! So helpful!
I listened to that Christmas album so much when I was a kid! That and the Chipmunks Beatles album. Yikes. Maybe Kidz Bop isn't so bad.
I keep thinking it's that volcano movie with Pierce Brosnan, and wondering why everyone keeps talking about the twenty-year-old movie that was over-shadowed by that other volcano movie with Tommy Lee Jones. Wow, those really stood the test of time, eh?
I actually saw a ballet on Great Performances where they kept cutting in for closeups on the ballet dancers' faces. I was practically foaming at the mouth I was so furious. I may have issues
…and I just saw that there are six Thai places in the States called the same thing! Ah well. Only so many puns with the word Thai, I guess.
There's a Thai place up here in Markham, Ontario called Thai One On.
I've seen it, too. I don't think we're related. It was one of those movies that was on all the time on Cinemax or HBO, one of those. I didn't really like it, per say, but I've sure seen it a lot!
I saw Bosch's Garden of Earthly Delights at the Prado, and couldn't leave for like an hour. There is just so much detail to parse, and the whole tryptich becomes kind of overwhelming after a while.
I've just started binge watching it on Netflix, it is such a fun time! I really had no idea it was of the "Monk" light-comedy-with-a-little-bit-of-murder class of shows, or I would have started earlier. I love a show that doesn't take itself at all seriously.
Fascinating! I have never heard of this particular tidbit of history, either. I had heard of this show, but mainly only because of the amazing food styling, but now I am tempted to seek it out and watch at least this episode. And this essay brings up an interesting point, about historical fiction usually focussing on…
