YOU WERE A TOMATO!!!

Whenever I see Chorizo on a menu, I have to say "Chorizo and eggs?" in that wonderful, Grodin-y way, like he had never heard anything that sounded quite so delicious.

Seconded!

Whereas I heard "Australian doing bad Southern accent" so clearly the revelation that it is Aboriginal is a complete surprise! So interesting.

I agree, as well. The flying sequences were really poetic, I thought, highlighting how utterly alien Superman truly is. There is a part where he is just floating, and it is so quiet, with the only sound his cape rippling around him, that it becomes equal parts cool and really really creepy.

I posted above that I think Picture If You Will suffers from being a story that would read interestingly, but to watch it is kind of dull. All stories about a mental ability have this same handicap. That's why Peter Jackson turned the Gandalf versus Saruman battle into Old Guys Beat the Crap Out Of Each Other.

I can see that, about the "loopy" episode. I much preferred TWWW, and frankly didn't understand a lot of the CDM love from last week. I was thinking it was maybe more of a "rose-colored glasses" effect, since the sight of Scorpius in a Hawaiian shirt is certainly fantastic, but I felt like the entire first half of the

I know this is a late reply, but I just wanted to echo the Vala love. My husband and I watched all of SG-1, but the Vala years were my favorite, all because of Claudia Black. I even named my daughter Vala, although I don't always tell people the exact reason. (It is also an Icelandic name, and a Tolkien word, so I

My favorite part is Aeryn covering one eye to do it. LOVE.

Just had one of these the other day, and it is my new favorite drink. Thanks for the recipe link, too!

It was in season 8, which was Sci Fi, at least according to Wiki.

My two favorites are from the Sci-Fi years, Giant Spider Invasion and Parts:the Clonus Horror. I still say "Made with sun-ripened mayonnaise!" whenever I'm at a picnic.

Such a nice story. Thank you.

Me, too. Her death made me put down the book for a while, I was so angry and upset.

@avclub-0ae7484a9f3bbd2a21df420050c032ae:disqus Huh, I totally didn't catch that. I guess I need to rewatch that part. This is my first time through the series, and I tend to watch after my kids go to bed, so I might not be as clear of mind as I need to be!

But is that mentioned? It just seems so random and unrelated.

I'm slightly confused about this episode, because the very beginning shows the Moya crew in imminent danger, and then the next time we see them, everything is hunky dory. Could the version I saw have a scene missing? Or is this explained at any point?

Haven't read anybody mention Atreyu from the Neverending Story. Definitely my first crush as a child. I was probably 7, and watched that movie every single day. He was supplanted soon enough by River Phoenix in pretty much everything, but for about six months, he was my boy.

Oh my god yes. He wasn't my first "crush", but probably the first where I started to have the special tingles. That gorgeous shot of him turning and saying As You Wish? Yowza.

Oh, I definitely crushed on Alastair! I had totally forgotten about that!
