Is it bad that what I see in these pictures that I want the most are those chock blocks?

@KeyserSöze: Yeah, I like my beer at room temperature too.

@Justin Hyde: Looking at that it might be run by an ignitor for an oil fired furnace. I use old ones to make Jacob's Ladders for Halloween.

@Squirrel-bait: I was thinking a couple of cheap stun guns.

Those aren't flamethrowers...

A Ferrari? In Nebraska?

How *not* to release a wild animal.

@snapoversteer, Arbiter of D'Elegance: Slightly related, when the U.S. Army first got the M1 Abrams tank there was a lot of concern over the high failure rate of the transmissions. Some thought it was a poor design that couldn't handle the power generated by the turbine engine.

I was a Good Samaritan once. I had stopped at a farm stand and there was a lady standing next to her car crying because the battery was dead in her remote and she couldn't get into her car.

Nothing needing an insurance claim to fix my car. The worst was 2 weeks after getting my license. Some asshat came barreling down off a side road and I dodged into a ditch up onto a log. Had to get towed off and fix a hole in the radiator. I guess that incident put my head on a swivel so now very little goes

Thanks Peter, I love the coloring commentary. :)

As far as "geeky" items go, I've got to go with the BMW 'diversity antenna'. Probably still in use, but forgotten about unless you install a different radio...and who listens to radio anymore anyway? It's a system of multiple FM antennas to eliminate "picket fencing" in low signal areas. Very geeky.

@_Engineer: Saw that 210 on your flickr page...nice. Needs flames :P

@PDQ2: I ran my 88 Ranger GT for about 12 yrs / 289k miles (only in the summers). Only got stranded once and that was with a battery gone bad and one wheel in a mud hole. Nice truck. Totally died 3 times just when I got home from very long trips but never let me down on the road.

@Lawdog: Damn! Where do you live, on a figure-8 track?

@K5ING: You had me at Falcon Wagon. Sure, back then it was 'just another car' but it still takes me back. We had two Falcon Futura Ranchero project cars when I was a kid. I still have a Falcon convertible on my short list of 'wants.'

@Mabrouk: One more. The good old Triumph Herald.
