This would've worked great in the days of tube-based sensors (like the good ol' Vidicon) but modern CCD based sensors aren't as susceptible to overloading...that's why you can watch somebody welding on TV.

@Elhigh: Ha-ha, JGs are a hoot! Yes, there is that signal and it can be quite effective. It would be insulting except for the fact that if somebody uses it on you it's probably true and in your best interest to OBEY! One of those hand signals not to be taken lightly.
