The same reason people liked Battleship and Independence day while others didn’t. It’s a dumb explosion and sci-fi romp that people enjoy. I think I’m in the 90s, but that’s due to how much I missed terrorist hunt from the originals. Having a friend or two with the game helped keep me playing as well.

That would be an issue for the guided shells proposed for the guns, there still normal shells to had for much less in costs. They just won’t be as “smart.”

If it’s a larger, main-console sized game...that’s what a few million players have been waiting 20 years for.
I never really had an issue with them, as they were usually pretty powerful, and the later games gave them changes like stuns and other effects. I usually just kept a throwaway mon for stuff like flash or cut.
This is the reason after a binge on these sort of FPS’, I give myself a couple days of R6: Siege, where you’re dead if you don’t work together. They’ll never change their ways, I just want squads to start out unlocked and not the other way around.
