This is absolutely right. The Sons have some pretty ridiculous plot-armor at this point. It's not even as if they're in hiding, or laying low. And we know in the universe of this show, mass-slayings aren't even a big deal. Law enforcement and the media barely cares. There's no reason Marks couldn't or wouldn't just

Sounds a little too original for me. I'd be more comfortable if it was loosely based on a middling film from 10 years ago or was in someway autobiographically based on a famous person's life.

A+ from me. I'm going to miss this show.

Agreed. The scenes with her and John are cringeworthy. It truly feels like neither are taking it seriously. It feels like they're making fun of you for watching them.

This may been covered before, but I like Ken Marino best when he's playing a) dumb b) a jerk, or even better, c) a dumb jerk. There's something off about him playing a nice, normal dude. (Also, he's at least 10 years older than his fiancee and all of their mutual friends.)

If you watch the special features on the DVD/blurays, you will come to the conclusion that you pretty much nailed. During the production of the LotR trilogy, they were young and hungry and had to make do with the (still very large amount of) resources they had. 10 years later, they don't have the same drive or the

As HolsGG said. Even when they've been working on the same case, Kalinda only liaises with Cary. And when they were working for different firms, one was always conveniently away from their office when the other visited.

The only wrinkle to that belief is that they literally haven't been in the same scene for 30+ episodes. Not reconnecting as friends is one thing, but the fact that they haven't even been in the same room at the same time for more than a season… that's gotta be deliberate. There's gotta be something more to that.

It feels like John Mulaney, as an actor, isn't taking his show seriously. I mean, he probably is. But from afar, it really looks and feels like he's doing a bit. Like he's doing an SNL sketch about a hacky sitcom. It's a little bit hard to believe that he's actually trying his best.

I get moderate enjoyment from it. In Season 2, though, it was my favorite show on TV at the time. So the downfall is pretty disappointing.

There's you and Kurt Sutter, at least. I've gotten the sense from listening to the bluray commentaries that the cast don't really care for the constant montages either.

What you're describing actually happened. It's called Tammy. It was written by McCarthy and her husband, and directed by her husband. And nobody liked it (except Nathan Rabin, weirdly).

I'm sorry. Am I making you uncomfortable?

Why do you hope that?

Denis Leary is a dairy goat.

I think it's weird that Denis Leary produces Marc Maron's IFC show and appeared as a guest on the fictional podcast-within-the-show but has never been a guest on the podcast in real life. Does anybody know why not?

The Nords might have been. They were definitely selling meth in Charming, at least. The others only come to Charming to interact with the Sons. (Its just that interacting with the Sons usually means blowing something up).

Jax found out Juice betrayed the club in Season 5, and kept it under wraps in return for having Juice under this thumb (he needed his help to set up Clay). The Godfather-y "You betrayed me" scene was because of Juice's confession to Nero.

I agree the show is silly, but almost none of those factions are set up in Charming (besides the Sons, obviously).

Luckily, she never did that, and instead just investigated murders.
