A good point, but it’ll have to happen before (or at??) the convention Aug. 17-20, so the announcement can’t happen after August ;-)
August 18th is the 100 year anniversary of the ratification of the 19th amendment, which gave women the right to vote. I’m sure his campaign is aware of that. Connecting the VP pick with said anniversary feels like a certainty to me.
Yeah. It’s... not great. And folks have looked to Shadi Petosky as the real hero of the day for “making” 12, but she was definitely part of the problem and enabled Vickerman’s harassment/assault. Public court records show that the victims sued both Vickerman and Petosky (through her company, Puny).
Yes, but note that 12 Forever’s creator, Julia Vickerman, was fired off her own show after an internal investigation by Netflix into claims she was assaulting and harassing her own crew. Visibility is important, but not at the expense of a crews safety.
I highly recommend The Half of It on Netflix. The elevator pitch is, “High school, gay, Cyrano de Bergerac” but it’s infinitely better than that suggests. I hadn’t heard of it until Mrs. Bitch suggested it a few days ago. 97% critics / 81% audience on rotten tomatoes. Very quiet, low key, dialogue-heavy and thoughtful.
I don’t know how many Canadians are on here, but a few years back there was a real debate within the (especially Toronto, Ontario) gay community about whether or not the police should continue to be invited to Pride.

The commentators are probably flummoxed by her name change. MRAs and Incels are not fond of acknowledging their beloved “red pill” metaphor was created by trans women. If they have to refer to the Wachowskis, they typically dead-name and misgender them. If they’ve never been out of the Misogynist Echo Chamber,…

Thank you for reading! I’m always really interested in learning how other countries are handling their outbreaks because I feel that we can learn so much. I’m so happy to hear about the low-cost ventilator!! I can imagine that having other medical conditions can be scary right now (I’m scared for my mom, who is older…
Gives me chills :)
I’m type 2 and have hypertension, so I have that same fear.
I completely understand why she has dropped and I still broken. FUCK this country. This is the smartest, most competent, most capable and genuine candidate in the whole field but the ignorant voters want to keep the status quo and go with another goddamned old white guy. FUCK this country.
This seems like a good time. *ahem*
What a violation and nightmare. Those suspensions are a joke.
“the honor code has been updated and has brought the school’s policies well into the 1950's”
Came here to say the same thing.

It is so damn good to see a male sports superstar being so loving, kind, and supportive of their trans child. I'm sure that he's going to catch hell from lots of people in the sports world bc so much of it is still so incredibly rife with toxic masculinity and this is just a really sweet, heartwarming story that is…
If I were to have dinner with some sort of an extended family this year it would probably be with the family I made rather than the one I was born with and unfortunately Pete not at all being qualified or equipped to be President at this point regardless of anyone there’s affinity with him would probably be the…
