That depends a lot on what type of job you are applying for. I work on computer games, and would absolutely consider that pony — though they lose some points for using vim rather than emacs, and anyone whose favorite languages include C is kind of strange :)

It would be nice to caption each photo with what character they are cosplaying, for those of us who don’t recognize all of them.

Because storage costs money. If you have hundreds of dashcams on police cars, each recording for most of the day, you can easily be generating thousands of hours of video every day. A year of a hundred dashcams recording for twenty hours a day is seven hundred thirty thousand hours of video; a 1080p quality video

Bear in mind that a lot of the camps were quite small. In the east, you had a lot of very temporary camps where they’d round up a few dozen people, use them to build something, and then shoot them a week later. That history tends not to be well known in western countries, because these areas were part of the Soviet

For purposes of the geneva conventions, you aren’t allowed to shoot at people and vehicles labeled with the symbol of the Red Cross, or its sister organization the Red Crescent (organized in Islamic countries where the Cross is interpreted as a very Christian symbol); they also have the avoid-religion-altogether Red

It could also depend on the laws in wherever the localization team wanted to localize for —I was on a game about a decade ago that used red crosses for health symbols, and we were fine until it came time to localize for China... The red cross is officially a “capitalist conspiracy”, and thus the Chinese government

I’ve had spain do that to me in a recent game — they built hordes of inquisitors and sent them to camp on my border... while I build a far smaller number of missionaries, walked them the long way around, and converted every spanish city to my religion. Somehow the AI never thought to walk one of those inquisitors

I’m 6-4, and when I’m sitting in most airline seats, my knees are pressed into the seat in front of me. When the person in front of me reclines, they are pushing my kneecaps in a really uncomfortable direction and/or forcing my legs to splay sideways into the people sitting next to me, both of which really suck.

There is no legal provision for a “do-over” or a “nope, he doesn’t become president” as a direct result of a criminal investigation (or conviction).

Why not first degree? Have you ever looked at the definition of first degree murder? Legal terms have meanings, and first degree does not mean “done by a badguy” or “the prosecutor wants a higher penalty”. In order for a killing to be first degree murder, it must be premeditated. To get a conviction, the prosecutor

Certainly bake sales aren’t illegal in Massachusetts — there’s an explicit exception in the food safety laws for “sales for charity purposes”. So, a church or school bake sale is fine, but a bake sale to raise money for a vacation is not.

To give you an idea of how horrible the use of poison gas was: Adolf Hitler declared he was going to exterminate the Russians, but even when the Russian army was approaching Berlin at the end of the second world war, he refused to use gas on them. Every other weapon in the German arsenal was fine, because he was ok

There is a specific law prohibiting lawsuits against gun manufacturers and sellers for negligence if their products are used in a crime. The judge found that law to apply to this situation, because the victims (and relatives of victims) were suing a gun shop and a gun manufacturer for negligence. The plaintiffs
