I’ll go with the obvious here. GM’s SBC, LS, and now LT engines. Relatively small, light, powerful, torque-y, reliable, cheap, versatile, no exotic technology to deal with, any mechanic can work on it, parts are everywhere, you can easily buy a crate motor direct from GM or from a million other suppliers, etc. Sure,

Even though I’m not a Chevy guy, it’s got to be the SBC. You could make strong arguments that the aftermarket industry as we know it wouldn’t exist without it. It brought speed to the people.

The entire LS family. Reliable, easy to make power, sounds great, cheap, and makes anything you stick it in more fun.

I saw the video was 24 minutes and I immediately knew who the presenter was.  He’s just sooooo long winded and the cadence of his voice is like acoustic sandpaper.

Here’s hoping the graft goes well. He seems like a good dude.

Not long ago, you’d find them for 20-30k

Literally #2 on the list

Knowing your baseline normal can be difficult depending on your circumstances.

I grew up with a crap ton of trauma from a young age into my adult years. I wasn’t diagnosed with stuff till I was in my mid-20's, but it was at that point I realized that I had teetered between chronic depression, and extreme anxiety, and

“I’ve put a lot of money to restore this car...

“I know what it’s worth”

It is sad that I know exactly who you speak of here, no pun intended.

Why isn’t my ex-wife on this list?

Well no, of course we won’t get it because it’s going to be decently affordable, compact, cleverly designed, and not completely hideous.

I was lucky enough to own one.

as long as you are happy with no horsepower, oil leaks, replacing head gaskets and 12 MPG, sure.

The rona has passed over, those that are going to be vaccinated have gotten the shot. Its time to come outside again friend. you did you job, its time to relax.
