I have a question for you!
I have a question for you!
I dunno. She was super annoying for a while there, but I have to respect her for the speech she gave last night. It’s effective, I think (hope) to have former uber-Berners come out for HRC—and I think it requires a degree of critical thinking skills and humility that should be respected.
I think Bernie should’ve realized how crazy some of his supporters were earlier on—and reigned them in. I do believe he should be criticized for this.
I would like to know WHAT they are even protesting. I say this as someone who was a Bernie supporter.
I want to say I do not have a problem w/ your original comment. . . .
I do think Bernie encouraged this shit by staying silent on the worst behavior of his supporters for so long. . . .But, I think he really stepped up recently. He’s fully endorsed Clinton (not just endorsed the lesser of two evils). His speech last night was really well crafted to make his supporters feel validated—but…
TAKE A HINT, BERNIE BROS. Your childish antics impress no one.
YES. One of my bigger irritations last week was that people kept referring to Michelle’s 2008 speech as fluff. . . .
I don’t think you actually read the comment you’re responding to.
I wouldn’t say that I’m nervous about the truth coming out (I like transparency as well). I’m more nervous is a retroactive way. Like, I hope the transparency reveals further unprofessionalism, but not active collusion with the HRC campaign. If this collusion happens, yes, I would like it to be revealed. But, I hope…
LOL—I am sorry! Trump supporters and *some* Bernie supporters basically think/write in regurgitated superficial soundbites. The parody works even better, given that people thought you were being serious when you did the same.
Former Bernie supporter here (now enthusiastic Clinton supporter).
I wish she wasn’t going to be visible at the convention. She’s not really a beacon of unity at this point. . . .
I don’t know. He was a fair housing lawyer for two decades. He is, by all accounts, deeply religious, but believes that personal beliefs should stay out of politics. Played a big part in turning Red Virginia purple. Rescinded his support for abstinence education b/c all evidence pointed towards it being ineffective.…
Yeah. . . . I’m not sure why people aren’t more excited. . . .everything I read about him makes the progressive in me super tingly. . . .
This needs so many more stars. Thank you so much for sharing your experience.
Yep. Reading about his record is making me super excited.
Agreed! It makes me really respect a person. Here’s my inside scoop from a man (who is an atheist) who worked for Kaine: “Aside from all the great reasons to pick Tim Kaine, he is a man of a deep and personal faith. I think that he is a man who strives to live out the best aspects of the Christian faith: charity,…
He’s got an interesting record on abortion rights. . . . .Technically, he’s not pro-abortion personally, due to his catholicism. But he still fights for reproductive rights (including abortion). I respect him for this.
Agreed. I meant more in the sense of doing so within a private organization —e.g. your workplace, an online community, etc-without repercussions such as banning, firing, etc.
