I’m not sure that it matters how any of us feel about his criminal record.
I’m not sure that it matters how any of us feel about his criminal record.
We all write awful emails. But sharing your emails with the public is like the fucking zenith of narcissism.
Africa, in a paragraph:
I just tend to view this within the same scope as I would any crime. Horrible people get murdered. Get robbed. Get assaulted. I’m sure there are rape victims out there who I would hate in real life.
What does Aniston’s celebrity life have to do with feminism?
I agree/disagree. Kind of depends on who his VP pick is. . . .like, if he picks Gingrich. . . .then, yes, we need the meanest (but least criminal and also w/ a bleeding heart:)) motherfucker we got.
Hahaha. I actually love this. Can you and I just agree to disagree on this one? I get some of your points and appreciated your longer response. I still stick by my original response. But, like I’ve said, even if I disagree with you here, I think you’re a great commenter—and I wouldn’t want our disagreement on this…
YES. Thank you! Like I said, I hate entitlement as much as the next person. But that doesn’t mean we get to criticize a wealthy/successful woman for everything. If we don’t want to body-shame and/or judge a woman’s reproductive decisions, mother-hood decisions, etc., we should apply these standards universally.
I am so sorry that this happened to you. And equally sorry that you did not get the support that any human being requires—either immediately after the event or later in time. I am so, so sorry. Thank you for speaking out to us.
Yes. And I’m really not trying to be aggressive. I like you as a commenter. I don’t think the intent of your post was necessarily to focus on her fertility. But, by commenting on the probability of motherhood at her age, you are drawing the attention back to the probability of motherhood (however that state may or may…
Now let’s all be great feminists and talk about what a shitty career she has had and she’s not really that pretty anyway and also HOW COULD SHE EVEN MENTION having a child at 47?! Talentless, unattractive, AND entitled.
I get annoyed with celebrity entitlement as much as anyone, but come on. The woman is trying to take control of her narrative. Why fixate on this one little detail?
Thanks for this! It changes a lot of things. . . . wish they had been more careful in reporting on it. Kind of grossed me out.
One woman asks how to handle dating a guy with a small penis. Amber tells her to leave him.
I know a lot of people have already posted similar comments. . . . .but I wanted to suggest that we respond to people w/ these attitudes in the following way:
UK people: Does “liberal” mean the same thing to you as it does to us Americans? Or is it the meaning more in line w/ the earlier usage?
Same. Also, I think Bush’s presence at the same memorial *could* shut down the otherwise inevitable attacks on Obama from the right.
It’s also nice because it could *partially* insulate Obama from right-wing attacks. I’m not a fan of Bush AT ALL. But I do think the show of unity is good. And I think this will give the right less ammo to attack Obama on every single word he says (potentially).
But see here’s the deal. It’s people like you and the OP that say those things, and don’t even see how your own fixation on race is significantly perpetuating the racism issues that are going on right now.
“. . . . . I’ve often been alone with Roger Ailes in his office over the course of 15 years and I’ve never seen anything like what I’m reading about in the papers and the magazine.”
