Jon Hamm was GREAT! I just wish they had stuck with the theme they had built during the rest of the season. Like when Kimmy put a man she was making out with into a chokehold. But, there was like NOTHING in the trial scenes that followed the same theme. It kinda killed the girl power for me.

I, too, was skeptical. But I LOVED the first half of the season. Personally, I felt like it went down hill with the trial. As much as I loved Jon Hamm. . . . .Why was the trial modeled after the OJ Simpson trial? And, whereas the rest of the season found a fine (and amazing!) balance between comedy + undertones of

Is a JLaw backlash ever going to happen? Sometimes I feel the tides turning, and I get scared for her (I feel bad for Ann Hathway too), because I like her, but then she says shit like this—and manages to sound smart and sassy—and I’m like, Let’s never be mean to her, please?

P.S. You made it ALL THE WAY THROUGH CRASH? I just, I just I just.

Oh, shit, I didn’t even SEE the “couple of weeks” thing. That is so fucked up. My thoughts?

Agreed—mostly. Some doctors do do limb amputations in cases of BIID. I think there’s way too little data to determine whether these amputations actually improve psychological outcomes. But, IF blindness was determined to be the best course of action—the psychologist should not have been the agent of bringing it about.

TOTALLY. Also, the article seems to mischaracterize BIID as “wanting to be disabled,” when, in fact it’s typically characterized as someone feeling intense psychological (and physical pain) over a perceived “foreign” limb and willing to become disabled to reduce this pain. I think it’s a super complicated disorder and

THAT STORY IS AMAZING!

I’ve never heard about this regarding blindness. But there are real psychologists (and real doctors) who do allow individuals to amputate their limbs (individuals with bodily integrity disorder).

people shouldn’t call you stupid.

That looks like a black bear. Making a shit-ton of noise is exactly what you’re supposed to do in that situation.

Alaskan here. Until you’ve been face to face with a bear who wants to kill you, I’m not sure you can really predict how you’re going to react.

Am I just being hyper-sensitive or is this headline way way way too flippant in the context of sexual assault? Stolen underwear? Here’s what the woman said:

Well put. There’s not a sliding scale on a person’s right to suffer. The minute we start acting as if there is some kind of rubric, the minute none of our suffering actually matters. Andrew Garfield is a hell of a lot more privileged than I am—richer, more beautiful, etc, etc, etc. But, I still enjoy a lot more

I’m vaguely hung over and trying to avoid getting off my couch, so, yes, I clicked on the Kylie and Tyga TMZ link, chuckling to myself, “hahaha tabloids are so stupid. it’s so dumb to take some pictures of some celebs and be all like EXCLUSIVE: LOOK AT HOW BORED,” but then I saw the actual photos and I actually think

It’s shocking to me how dumb the GOP can be. Like, regardless of the content of their actual opinions. Just strategically dumb. In between 2008 and 2014 it was ALL about how they needed to reform the party, get the latino vote, get the women’s vote, etc. And all they seem to be able to do is alienate these voters.

I think this is well-put. My feelings about him are becoming more complicated. I WANT to still adore him b/c he IS eloquent about important causes. But, I think he seems unwilling to admit when he is wrong. And, I think you’re right, he comes off as pompous.

I’ve always loved this. And I continue to love it. Now, unfortunately, after hearing him speak over that woman on Project Greenlight, I wonder if he would have been as aggressive with this reporter if she were a man. I think she totally deserved being schooled. And I STILL love this. I just have conflicted feelings

I FORGOT about that. What a d-bag.
