It’s in many ways the mirror of the Labour Party in the U.K. In 2015 they ran a blaritie centrist and got absolutely crushed. In 2017 they run an unapologetic liberal and come within a stones throw of winning the whole thing. Young vote was driven up 20%+ in some places to vote for Jeremy Corbyn.

Bullshit. People hated Hillary because she was Hillary, not because she had two X chromosomes.

Except that every poll that focuses on actual issues and concrete proposals shows that the country’s opinion looks like a Bernie stump speech. It is only a highly refined propaganda machine that keeps us divided.

Not even just now, though. He went back and told his superiors what happened. He even asked for someone to buffer. It’s insane that they say he did nothing.

Libel! Unlike the slime monster family, Magikarps can evolve!

Double XP wins. Actually laughed out loud 😂

Let me know when Larry Wilmore gets his show.

Bill is incredibly sorry and it won’t happen again until it happens again.

Where does your lack of a purity test end? I certainly agree with you that we should make concessions, but on smaller issues. This is a man who is on the wrong side of some very important issues (against single payer, for continued intervention in the Middle East, for increased militarization). We’ve been “working”

Yeah, but the British actually had an unapologetic leftist change agent in the person of Jeremy Corbyn, whose anti-austerity, anti-neoliberal message was wildly popular with young people and significantly enlarged the electorate. Regardless of your particular feelings on HRC, we here in the US...uh...didn’t.

Call me stupid, but maybe the Tories should quit calling for snap votes.

I never said he was elected. I was contrasting centrist Democrats feelings about Sanders not being electable due to his “radical” ideology with the Labour Party, led by another “unelectable radical” making historic gains.

At the very least, losing Bernie supporters is what lost the election for Democrats.

(sigh) Bernie would have won.

June, 2016 - “There’s no way an old socialist who supports radical ideas like a livable wage, free college, and more regulations for Big Business could EVER be elected.”

The Democrats here need to take a lesson from Corbyn. Stop being centrist conservatives and people will turn out! And we’re going to need a huge number of voters to overcome the gerrymandering, voter suppression, and other shenanigans the GOP is going to pull over the next four years.

Hail to the covfefe.
