If you consider that it's the only real feature they added to the iPhone and need it to sell them a legit reason, then there ya go. Otherwise, no.

This is just rehashing old stuff.

IPTV was supposed to be out like 15 years ago. Everything on demand. The best you can get is a few old episodes of tv shows, free viewings of old movies and pay per view for kinda old movies.

Yeah, we'll see... When Family Guy came back it went way downhill. The last episode was so bad that it set a new low for animated shows. And Futurama? Christ, they haven't had a single decent episode since their return.

While this thing will certainly lead to abuse because people in general are pretty stupid, there are situations where you know you drank too much but need to sober up quickly or you wake up still buzzing from the night before and need to get your ass to work.

Look, I know every writer at Gizmodo is contractually obligated to give Old Man Jobs a BJ whenever asked but it's not enough that it's the day before an event that's going to lead to like 100 redundant Apple posts all explaining the same few things? You still have to post filler crap stories about Apple all day today

NFC payments are stupid, that's what makes this banking idea stupid. Other than that, if they provided an ATM/debit card it would be fine. Lots of online only banks already.

The difference between hertz and FLOPS is... Just kidding, I guess I'm the only one who noticed that a dozen people already explained this and didn't feel the need to explain it again. Christ people, read a few comments before you post.

Korea and Japan get stuff like this first when it's Japanese and Korean companies making it. They're much smaller markets and it makes more sense to try new products in smaller markets. Also, being native markets, you have a better understanding of the consumer and probably command a bigger market share which makes

Then strip the patents from these greedy companies that care more about male impotence and sleep aids than saving lives and either manufacture them in government run facilities or subsidize non-profit pharma manufacturing and research on a scale that isn't dwarfed by the annual salary of your typical high school

Of course they're gonna make an iPhone4S, they need to keep as many minor, nearly useless hardware updates as they can for future iPhones now that they're out of ideas, the competition has surpassed them in hardware, their market share has flat-lined and they make all their money off the iPhone and iPad.

How did the iPod change computing? It plays music, videos and simple apps that are 99.99999% crap.

Come a long way? From betting their future on an iPod to betting their future on an iPod that's also a phone? Yeah, real innovation.

Yeah but this is for people who like to have fun, be scared on Halloween and not be that douche bag that comments "It's obviously been Photoshoped, I can tell by the pixels" on everything, yells out "That looks so fake" at the movie theater while everyone else wants to beat them to death or points out that the cracks

"Three of research" means it took three researchers. He's writing in FOB English here, a rare occurrence in modern "journalism". You should be happy to witness such a rare event. Too bad there's no airbag to save you from it!

It's called Google, use it.

DHL is pretty much gone in the US market. FedEx is decent but way overpriced and UPS is just plain horrible AND overpriced.

How is taking out your phone and punching in a pin any better or more efficient than pulling out your credit card and entering a pin or signing a receipt?

What a bunch of BS hype. The title should be "Why the US Government Wants You To Worry About China's First Space Station" And the entire story would be summed up in one sentence: Fear mongering to keep funds flowing into defense contractor pockets.

While I think it's a stupid lawsuit, I'm glad FB is getting a taste of their own crap. I mean, it's not like anyone ever though of putting something in a book and using the word "book" to describe it yet FB goes after anyone using "book" in it's name.
