For a few years, I had the taxi number memorized in case I spotted it.

I have always wanted to be on this!! While it was running the first time I would always hold my breath whenever I hailed a minivan cab.

Plot twist: the cab is actually an Uber, and the contestants are playing to determine whether or not the driver is going to get more than $0.50 in compensation.

I agree with all of this so much, especially running around getting scrapped up and not worrying about the sun taking it’s inevitable toll on my skin lol.

I am so confused by this! Did y’all have parents that actually bought you shit you wanted? Because “everything being free” as a child meant, in practicality, I had to wear clothes I hated and was mocked for and had to eat food that was disgusting or go hungry. But I had a big family and my mom did not give a fuck…

While I adore the *idea* of everything being free, in childhood that also meant I didn’t get to choose what to buy. I’ll take choice over not paying, especially while voting for “Getting a Raise.”

That should be such an easy choice! “Everything being free” as a child actually meant that I had no money and someone else decided everything that I ate and wore. I started working informally when I was 12 0r 13 because my mother was both frugal and controlling, and as a younger siblings all I got were hand-me-downs.…

“Everything is free” goes hand-in-hand with “you have zero control over what you eat, wear, own, do etc..” I’d rather pay for my shit but get to decide what the shit is.
