I was used to greater density and coverage. Plus the no-line-transfer policy is a total pain and counterintuitive for someone used to the east coast. I got a ticket on the expo line for having transferred (I didn’t know!), so that’s working against LA.

that I disagree with. It’s still more accessible/manageable than NYC’s and the updated trains and silver line are nice. I don’t love metro, but I stand by its ranking.

oh I can imagine. I only take the NYC subway like 3 weeks out of the year and it takes a bit of my soul with each delay or 40-minute wait.

Oh, DC has taken a serious nosedive recently, hence the fall from above NYC. It’s still not nearly as awful as LA. DC would need to catch fire and flood at least seven more times to make it there—so maybe by the end of the summer?
