The only problem is you have to look at it every day.

This is the answer. It’s cheap, comfortable, readily available, and will last for a while. Plus, resale value on Accords with 100s of thousands of miles is good.
I’m sure he thought about this, but he’d be in a rush to get home on the weekends and all that extra time trying to figure out which Challenger/Charger isn’t his would eat into that time.
Wow, I feel like this question is just the one for me to answer. I’m 34, live in Asheville,NC and used to own a Legacy GT wagon and have had this ‘08 535xi for about a year now and I often say this BMW is the car I always wanted my LGT to be.
Wait, you’re in the military and you’re going to be living on (or around) the base 5 days/week? And you’re looking at some crappy family car instead of some REAL MAN’S CAR? WTF, soldier??
She left for The Autopian, which was started by Torchinsky and DT and now has all the good former Jalopnik writers. I really need to take Jalopnik out of my rss feed.
“This totally fits the bill except for the two main things you stated...”
CT200H is a terrible, terrible recommendation for someone who wants a fun car. Those aren’t bad cars by any means, but it is literally just a Prius with a different badge on it. Interiors are very subpar vs other Lexus-badged models from its time period, and everything else is still a Prius.
That Lexus is a TERRIBLE recommendation. There’s nothing fun or zippy about it. It’s a Prius in a fancy suit.
My wife is also 5'3" with shorter legs. The OP is going to have to get in a lot of vehicles and see how they work. I would suggest finding a way to maybe rent some for a couple days. Today’s cars obsession with high safety ratings makes getting good visibility much harder.
Seriously? I’ve been on at least 8 flights since May and they were all 100% fine except for one medical emergency that forced us to land early. (Luckily the person was still OK enough to stand and get to the wheelchair with paramedic assistance.)
When I see these people the image of a shiny Greyhound bus pops into my head.
Oh yes. Realistically a terrorist just wanting mass casualties could just target the security line at most airports and get casualty figures close to blowing up an airplane with much less effort.
The TSA has been nothing more than security theater for their entire existence.
I remember at the beginning of Covid when these dealers were begging consumers to support their small, locally-owned business for the good of the community. F those guys.
Carmakers / dealers make it very clear that they are after top dollar and not top customer. When market stabilizes, then it will be very clear who pays the price.
Trollish maybe, but it’s not really this guy’s MO.
Too many doors.
And a garbage interior and ride in comparison
My choice would be the 12C. Now I hear these ones are actually quite reliable and easy-ish to maintain, still looks good to.
