I hear you, but like it or not, your car often dictates how you will be treated. At least initially. Part of the reason I disliked owning my old M3.
This is where I’m at too. Everyone loves an old classic. And if you restomod it, it’ll actually drive nice (not like the old piece of shit it was) too. Lay off the chrome, torque thrusts, time out dolls, HD stickers, flowmasters, and 22" wheels and it will be one classy and badass ride.
what is the “white cap” part referring to?
While your premise is logical, you would only be adding to an already overwhelmingly boring grayscale monochrome car world. If you’re gonna buy that car, buy a goddamn real color and make people happy.
The car itself isn’t douchey.. but it attracts douches regularly
That XK is sublime. The Morgan suggested in the post is trash compared to this.
Counterpoint: the i8 is super fucking douchey
What don’t you like about the rest? The headlights are meh for me, and the singular seat hump is strange.. otherwise seems like a legit fun car
This car’s ass looks so good. The sound is fine. But I’m here for the rear end shots.
As another active-exhaust mustang gt owner, I can tell you that my car is programmed for quiet mode from 9 pm to 9 am.. entirely for my neighbors’ benefit.
The ZHP premium is a ripoff normally. With the stank trees and the stanky title.. this is 1000% a ND ripoff. You get a tarted up slow car in the best case. If you need an E46, buy the M3 already, which is actually fun.
Correct. Shit is designed-in
On the Charger project I bought, I actually made about $3k on it through no credit of my own. And I made about $3k on my OJ Bronco (which I still miss). Then I lost about $2k on my Mini project. And I’ve wasted plenty of money in the past on car things. Overall I’ve likely lost a couple grand... which in the…
It’s the best of both worlds! It’s a STi hatch with actual reliability! I’m confident some light tuning/mods will find 50-75 additional (reliable) hp too.
Nope. That’s been proven to be a myth. Colorful (and rare now) cars sell faster and for more. So people are buying grayscale cars for reason at all.
Reading this headline, I felt guilty. I’m guilty of buying cars for which I never had even 10% of the time that would’ve been required to fix them up. And it hurts.. stings a little when that realization hits and you have to let them go. But I’ve grown.. I think... since then.
Jfc why does anyone even deal with Saudi Arabia. What a bunch of murderous dictator oligarch assholes.
Excellent work Bradley! And good for you. I hope you enjoy it.
I’d pay that much for a restomodded and dialed-in 2002.. but not for this. I think Petrolicious had an orange one (?) a while back that was pretty badass.
