I am torn.
I am torn.
I partially agree... in the sense that GotG 2 was a broader, dumber, flabbier film when compared to the first one. It was the two of them working together on GotG 1 which made it shine, it seems (though we’ll have to see how GotG 3 turns out, obviously).
I’m aware of the former (you can even see, if my eyes aren’t deceiving me, that her MCU suit is the right colour).
Big fan of Paul Rudd, and big fan of his Scott Lang, so I hope this is more Ant Man 1 than Ant Man and the Wasp (in terms of quality, if not in scale).
...the film concerns the titular Polly, “the most popular and most beautiful girl in school who wakes up after a party to find that she is trapped in a morgue, apparently dead, with no reflection, no pulse and no heartbeat. To make matters worse, she has been possessed.”
I was nowhere near as negative about this show as some people (hoo boy!) and largely enjoyed it - even though there was clearly a better version of it that could have been made, perhaps without the awful (and obvious) time pressures on the writing and effects - but my issue with the finale, largely epitomised by…
The most famous example is how the company scrapped a nearly complete Toy Story 2 in favor of a new direction. Lasseter and the team there turned out one of the best films ever made in less than nine months...
I also get that impression.
I get it... but... they also didn’t make her that interesting?
Both Jeff Sneider and /Film independently report that Harrison Ford will replace the late William Hurt as General Thaddeus Ross in Thunderbolts and potentially future MCU projects as well.
As long as they keep the joke that was supposed to be in the Ed Helms version:
Good. I like Isaac. I like Moon Knight. I liked the show (bar the obvious criticisms about the finale). Looking forward to more, in whatever form.
That was... what’s that word I’m looking for?
“What I’m about to say is by no means a contradiction or a compromise of a principle.”
I absolutely love Winston Duke as an actor (he should have at least have been nominated for an oscar for Nine Days, his performance was a thing of absolute beauty) so I’m hopeful we get at least one significant smackdown between M’Baku and Atuma as the “bruisers” of the film
While I am actually very excited about this (though part of me is still concerned that post-Endgame MCU is leaning wayyyy too hard on the ol’ nostalgia button) I hope this doesn’t immediately lead to crazy amounts of half-baked fan theories about what is or isn’t canon and how it all connects and...
Yes, my idle speculation about this television show will surely lead to devastation when it doesn’t happen.
So the visual link-up between finding out about “The Intelligencia” and the subsequent cut to the lab where they were reinforcing the needle so as to get them some gamma-blood really adds to that “this is how they reintroduce The Leader” speculation, doesn’t it?
I don’t think “The Leader” rhymes with that at all...
I really hope this is good. Loved the book and that’s a great cast. Fingers crossed.
