As it happens you’ve just named two of my favourite films there.

Also, she’s read Hayward’s file on Vision, which probably has a pretty specific debrief of all the events leading up to his demise... then re-mise... then do-over demise.
I also wouldn’t be surprised if we get a “Thanos” type cameo at season’s end, similar to the early Avengers movies, to set up the big bad in the MCU for this phase possibly.
So… that’s ONE of the big reveals done and dusted. And while I think we all knew Agnes=Agatha was “a thing”, it was never certain how faithful to the comic they were going to be, or whether or not she was going to be an ally or an antagonist. And now we know (or do we?).
I will bet dollars to doughnuts that the same people currently declaring that this trailer “proves the unequalled expanse and ambition of ZS as a film-maker” (yes, that’s pretty much a direct quote) will be going “give us the REAL Snyder-cut!” in a few months when it inevitably turns out that the rest of the movie…
Yeah, Tan should have been cast as Danny. They could easily have made the MCU version of Danny bi-racial (taking from Tan’s own background of an asian father and a caucasian mother) and tied that in with his feelings of caught between two worlds - not just K’un-Lun and the rest of the world, but between the two halves…
Honestly? I’m actually quite engaged with it. Leaning into the horrific nature of the symbiotes works well (and, thankfully, undoes a lot of damage Bendis did with his awful “Klyntar” reveal - while still keeping it somewhat canonical) and I don’t feel like it’s really derailed any of the other books I’m reading?…
Yeah, but... different type of exhausting.
Ah ha! Cool. Thank you.
Has it been announced who Erin Kellyman is playing? Because with the red hair (I know she’s a natural red-head, btw), the skull mask (with red hand print) and surprising prominence in the trailer... she’s not playing the MCU version of Sin by any chance is she?
Oh, most certainly. Although I’d counter by saying that they paid for the rights for the ability to build up the X-Men sui generis in the MCU - they weren’t buying the specific Fox iterations of these characters. Which is what makes me think this is really more of a nod-and-a-wink to the fanbase, rather than our first…
Either because she didn’t want his body desecrating (I don’t fully believe that an organisation like SWORD wouldn’t have been studying his remains in order to capitalise on them) or because she thought she could bring him back, and maybe that’s what caused her to snap - she failed, so this version is the next best…
I wouldn’t be surprised if having Evan Peters appear turns out NOT to be an explicit nod to the whole multiverse thing. It might just be a fun, meta-verse, thing for the viewers. As Darcy says, he’s been “recast”. And the recast might just be the whole point, it might not mean anything deeper.
I think you’re probably a lot closer to the truth with this than most people’s wild speculations (“I saw Mephisto was trending on twitter... so it MUST be him!”).
There’s definitely some inherent shame in there isn’t there? Seems like he doesn’t think “comic book movies” can be “real movies” unless they’re doing, as you say, purposefully “adult” things.
Everybody always forgets about Elliot.
COULSON LIVES!!!
So you’re saying she should have been She-Hulk?
Yeah, this is one I’m legitimately interested in. The trailer seems to suggest he has absolutely no dialogue... and while I’m sure that won’t be, can’t be, true, it’d be a great thing to see and (not) hear.
I mean, if you look at his career since then... then no?
