In fairness, the THM400 it has is probably in pristine shape. Other than only being 3 speeds (which in our day seems redonkulous), it’s a fantastic transmission for vehicles this heavy.

The stock market is at all time highs and is showing few signs of slowing down. That does mean shit to me and my financial well being. I have literally bought a new car and went through a significant home renovation because of the gains in the stock market over the past few years.
Well, “needs a recharge due to the blown-out compressor dumping all the freon” doesn’t read as well in the ad.
The 3-speed slushbox is reliable and even in non-turbo form the 6.75-liter mill provides plenty of torque. The radio’s easy to fix. The A/C, maybe less so. But I’ll give it CP status on the grounds that fixing any Bentley requires an open wallet, nevermind an open mind.
Get it out of Commiefornia, and it becomes emissions exempt pretty much everywhere else. Gives time to enjoy it while sourcing it’s issue on one’s own time, and largely free of the mega price markups for going to the flying B dealership. I’d do it.
I apologize in advance for my naivete.... but, why do Japanese cars...especially the JDM market only vehicles like this one... have their badges.( and interior buttons) in English?
good lord, hire a proofreader to catch the typos
The Most Interesting Car Toyota Makes is Too Luxurious For America
The last time the take rate on manual-transmission Corvettes was over 50% was back when the manual transmission in question had only four forward speeds. And no, at that time it did not include an overdrive.
Could it be that Subaru people love Subis, and the majority of people are actually pretty ambivalent to them?
Yeah, they rarely ever spend money on R&D. Thats why this car still has the same electrical architecture as GMs have had for decades, the same engine layout, and same suspension. Also probably why they have never looked at making a series hybrid, BEV, autonomous car, or hydrogen cars. Can you imagine what they would…
THE ENGINE IS IN THE MIDDLE NOW jesus christ there’s not just some parts laying around. Fuck everything, fuck me for reading comments
....okay hold on.
If you look at the spread between the top and the bottom there’s really not much here separating any of the brands. This metric is fairly useless.
C7 only had a 22% take rate on the manual transmission and that was versus a torque converter automatic (And the majority was in the top of the line Z07 and ZR1 trims) if they offered it versus this DCT I guarantee you that take rate would drop down to single digits, it’s just not financially worth it
Holy crap why didn’t they think about that.
It’s great Radwood bait for just over “why not” money. I’m with you.

A totally insane, irrational Nice Price for this survivor of a forgotten (and forgettable) automotive era.
