I’m sure the Australian taxpayer will love this idea. If the foreign competition is already eating their lunch now, how in the hell will this improve things?
I’m going to go out on a limb here and guess he has Arkansas plates because he lives in Arkansas?
It’s not a pre-’97 diesel though. It was built as a gasoline vehicle and will be held to that standard.
A car this old is smog exempt in probably most states. If kept in its native Wisconsin there’s no issue at all.
The Chinese believe every successful American drives a Buick. If they didn’t sell them here that would kind of torpedo that ideal.
Not as unusual as you think. I’m a 12-year Harley rider. I rock a Pixel 3. I love the LiveWire too, but like the aforementioned FIL, price is way too much. I could afford it, but I won’t pay that much for a motorcycle.
Bowling Green assembly is a union plant. I’m pretty sure ALL GM plants in the US and Canada are unionized.
Did anybody else notice Harmon started picking his nose again when Baby Billy was examining his ninja star?
They’re not really competitors. This Caddy is a good deal bigger than an RX
Safety, law enforcement, damage to the truck. There’s really no reason to run with them raised if you need them down.
There was no room in his Budget for the LDW
If the bags leak the entire truck’s air system will be leaking down. This is a DOT violation. Leaking airbags must be replaced.
You can adjust the amount of pressure in the bags. Usually from inside the cab, but some states don’t allow that. In any case, the knobs are just like an air pressure regulator you’d see on a compressor with the same type of gauge. I can tell you that on quad-axle dumps in WI, 30-40 psi is the right answer.…
The axle on top that swings way out to the rear is called a stinger axle.
No, they haven’t. Retreads are very much alive and well in the USA.
You leave them down. People here seem to not know that these axles also have brakes on them.. There’s no reason to have them raised if you need them down. The truck is unstable and has diminished braking capability without them down.
No such thing as a Series 60 two stroke. No such thing as a Series 60 that displaced 6.2L either. Series 60 was the best motor DD ever made and displaced 12.7 or 14.0L.
I wouldn’t say they’re being embraced. It’s a small subset of people who will option these in half ton trucks. The economics just aren’t there. Now, if we paid what you pay for fuel, that would change.
