This idea isn't any dumber than the Palm Folio.

@WheresWinPho: What I find most baffling is that Microsoft spends untold billions on all of those things; search, gaming, mobile, and they do nothing but lose money from the result.

The irony is lost on most that Microsoft is rushing to get their operating system to run on an instruction set architecture that Apple co-created for an industry that Apple dominates.

Good to see every other phone manufacturer is still dismissing battery drain issues entirely.

@ludwigk: Let's say an airline does do this. Do you think you'll be getting that service for free; out of the kindness of the company's hearts?

Obvious marketing stunt is obvious, but it's a good one.

@phiyuku: That's one ugly looking laptop.

@QLAB: Boxee? Roku? Apple? TiVo? Xbox? There are quite a bit of players out there, with far better interfaces and industrial design than the abortion Google put out.

Why would anyone think Hulu Plus is even remotely comparable? Not only does it have ads, it's available on fewer devices and not all content is available on all devices. Not to mention that most of the content they offer is already available for free.

@Celtic1888: As far as I'm aware, the highjackers used box cutters, which use blades less than four inches long and were allowed at the time. In fact, many sharp objects under four inches (including scissors) are still allowed.

@AreWeThereYeti: Am I to understand that you think people spend $500 in gas over their entire lifetime?

What does this have to do with tech, Giz? Sorry, but I see the same TSA story 18 times in Google Reader and another 800 times on Reddit; why do I need to see it again in a tech blog?

I have 92 friends on Facebook. Some are real friends, some are people I met while traveling that I want to keep tabs on, some are girls whose pictures I occasionally want to see.

London is many things, "pretty" isn't one of them.

This picture gives me a (nerd) boner.

So does Rosa like sausages or not?

I'm pretty sure it's gonna suck. And CGI Jeff Bridges is already annoying me. At least the soundtrack will be good.

You guys seem to misunderstand what I meant. I didn't mean that using a credit card increases your score (indeed, increasing your utilization lowers it) I meant using a credit card gives you points. When I said you're doing it wrong, I meant you're not putting enough purchases on a card to get points.
