@Matt08642: Unlikely, because Apple doesn't care about specs, they care about aesthetics, ergonomics, and ease of use. Just like they haven't made a 10" netbook, they won't make a 4" phone. They found the size they think is best, that they think customers think is best, and they're going to stick with it.

@iWillJ: Apple's phones are still getting smaller and smaller (or at least thinner and thinner).

@LukeDukem: Dom Joly is the first thing I think about when I see the EVO, Droid X, and especially the Dell Streak.

@Bant: The Pizza Mage: What makes it look bigger is the fact that it IS bigger. We're not talking screen size here; we're talking the actual phone dimensions.

@crazyjake: Also? Sprint 4G is *slower* than AT&T 3G here in Portland.

@crazyjake: Also? I highly doubt a "normal user" needs unlimited texting, as you imply.

@crazyjake: I'm one of the 65% of AT&T customers that doesn't use more than 200MB.

@kapanak: Apparently none of you have actually tried to buy an EVO. The cheapest plan is $69.99 + $10 premium for 4G service which is *required* whether your area has 4G or not.

The moral of this story? Don't "drop" your iPhone 4 three times, or you'll have to conveniently use this repair company to fix it.

@GBH2: Apparently you were too busy getting defensive to realize that this has nothing to do with the iTunes Store and everything to do with the lack of a good media player on other phones.

Cheapest HTC EVO plan: $80.

@flacster: Apparently Steve Jobs didn't get your Eternal Decree of What All Electronics Should Look Like.

@microinjectionist: Steve Jobs turned a near bankrupt company into the second largest market cap in the world in 13 years.

@A.Jaswal: There are 500 different networks all trying to use the same spectrum, simply encrypting yours isn't going to do a damn thing.

IT'S A CONSPIRACY.

I did come back and it wasn't trolling. I sincerely thought those apps were aesthetically unimpressive, and sure that doesn't detract from their functionality but to me the interface is the most important part of any software.

Poor Windows users, if these are your best apps I'd hate to see your mediocre ones.
