Agreed, Silph Road and Gymhuntr are useful because they help you plan out expeditions, but you still have to travel to the places and do the searching and fighting yourself. Anything else is cheating.
They’ve said it many times in the past that using these things is cheating according to them. While I agree that they should just add one of their own to the game, it doesn’t change the fact that they have established that using these things is cheating to them.
