The “catch ‘em all” guy only captured all the available Pokemon in NA. That currently excludes Ditto.
There was no online to sell them in the 80s. ;)
No, I’m saying that they didn’t even trust the original figures to sell. They were online/subscription only in limited supply because they claimed there wasn't enough interest for a retail release. Forget the MRA gamergate whatever accusations. If they didn’t think a Peter Venkman toy was sellable, I can’t see them…
At 20 bucks a pop, I can guarantee there are more adults buying these than kids!
It’s my understanding toys are phasing out.
Let’s put it this way: Mattel claimed there was so little demand for Ghostbusters figures (original movie) they could only sell them online and through a weird subscription service. Then proceeded to milk every last penny they could out of the fanbase. Then cancelled the line.
I’m not sure I trust Mattel on this one, since they’ve had pretty slimy practices in the past. It’s the same company that swore intense sales were why their collector figures were hard to get — or that they were in extremely limited supply. Then after waiting in a digital line (no, really, you had to wait in line — onl…
As a fan of the 2D games much moreso than Prime, I find it a little funny how many gamers today consider a “real” Metroid (as opposed to this spinoff) to mostly mean one of Retro Studios titles.
Heh. I remember when we were all had this same argument except about how first person, Texas-made Metroid was going to destroy the franchise.
I bought a bunch of the cheap Animal Crossing Amiibos just because I liked the figures, not because I cared about their in-game usage.
The problem right now is that three paw prints seems to be a pretty long distance and a lot of things show up as three away. With only three stages of distance, you have to move 50 or so meters in the right direction to get a change. So most people end up wandering around in the wrong direction until it disappears.
I always read that trailer as more of a feels-y hype than anything else. Ingress has similarly hyped trailers and lore for a game that was otherwise very visually simple.
Not specifically Snacktaku, but any taste test/food review video. That and the fact this Ghostbusters movie had me out looking for Hi-C and special Twinkies...more sugar than any one human needs to be sucking down in one sitting.
What’s more, the reasoning seemed hypocritical to some, as James had happily reviewed, and sometimes even celebrated, sequels and remakes that nobody asked for.
Even if they’re not more likely (although others have posted studies indicating they are), you simply don’t hear about the problems faced by those who held out in their early years. It’s a demographic that’s going to keep that information quiet, or blame everything except the lack of ‘experience’, or has already…
No one’s saying George didn’t do anything with the original 6 movies.
“Wow, so it’s a big iPod Touch you can’t put in your pocket? That’s so stupid, that’ll never catch on. Look how expensive it is!”
I’m surprised how many people seem anxious to see this new technology fail. It’s not just that they expect it to fail, they want it to fail like they’ve got money riding on it happening.
I think VR is here to stay, and it’s why so many companies “known for playing it safe” are “jumping on the bandwagon”. What we’re…
That’s not some common knowledge that every single person learns.
