I can almost guarantee that by Week 3 there will be some team that has the ball on their own 25 with 30 seconds left down by 2 and they’ll run three plays in a row that are just 4 WRs running go routes, heave the ball out there, and then just pick which of the 3 plays they think looks most like PI, throw the flag, get

The same crowd also thinks that Will Cain’s hot takes about economics or social justice are “not politics”, which I don’t understand at all.

Curt Schilling was fired because he tweeted a meme about lynching journalists.

Not sure if this is a joke and apologies if I missed it, but “pluck” basically means courage.

Organizing teams by offensive rating and defensive rating:

Toronto: 5th, 5th
Milwaukee: 4th, 1st
Portland: 3rd, 16th
Houston: 2nd, 18th
LAC: 9th, 19th

Whatever team that comes out of the East is going to at least be competent on both sides of the ball, which is something the Warriors haven’t seen in the playoffs so far.

Drake makes both pop music and rap music. By making pop music, he pisses off rap fans. By making rap music, he pisses off pop fans. So it’s really a no-win situation. But he makes tons of money because even though people detest him they still stream is music all the time.

It also doesn’t help that he apparently has a

Terry Gross blows my mind sometimes. I don’t know how anyone can interview the assistant costume designer for some obscure Hulu show and act like it’s the most interesting thing they’ve ever heard in their lives.

It’s more of a “wholly different situation” rather than “a much smaller scale situation”. Your company pays your salary which pays for your food, mortgage, health insurance, etc. Maybe you have enough marketable skills where you wouldn’t hurt too much by making a stand against upper management, but it’d still affect

I realize making low effort jokes is fun and all, but I don’t think “Griffin is too much of a coward to make good decisions” is a much better look for him.

In relation to Point B, anyone who earnestly thinks “This time it will be different!” needs to look at the absolute quagmire that Griffin left in Cleveland. It’s gonna take probably half a decade to right the ship from his boneheaded overpays.

If he hired an agent (which I’m guessing he’s done already?), he’s ineligible for the NCAA.

Counterpoint: Those of us who don’t live in Louisiana and want to watch Zion will never be able to no matter how good he is. I mean, Milwaukee went on a tear this year, their star is probably gonna win MVP, and they got like, what? Six nationally televised games? The Knicks or Lakers could set the record for most

That’s based on tickets sold. Idk if turnstile numbers are available anywhere though. By that metric the Suns were filling their arena to 85% capacity on a nightly basis, which I really struggle to believe.

Those tables are really to judge people who typically drink 1 (or less) standard drinks per day. It seems like once a month there’s some story out of the upper midwest where someone gets pulled over and blows a 0.43 or something crazy like that. Seasoned alcoholics are a different breed.

If the Clippers can go to Game 6, the Blazers should be disappointed if they only take this series to a Game 5.

I only tangentially follow baseball, but the takes in this thread make me feel like I’m going insane. I’m glad you posted this so that I know it’s not just me.

From what I understand, Harper has been to like 5 All Star games and won the MVP. When would he have gone from that to being a poor batter and average fielder

It’s a yoga studio in southern California, so I mean, they probably were high when they bought it.

But this piqued my interest. It looks like a 150 lb amethyst cathedral is around the size of a small child and doesn’t cost nearly $3500.

Have you ever been to a grocery store, a Walmart, or a Target? You’re on camera pretty much the entire time.

Have you ever camped in a national park before? His story is not at all ridiculous.

And the 3rd best player on the Blazers had his leg explode like 5 weeks ago.
